PokerStars Announces Major Online Poker Action for Pennsylvania in December

For over a year now, PokerStars has been providing premium online poker gaming in Pennsylvania. Cash gaming and tournament options, on top of special events, players have plenty to take advantage of. The brand just announced this month that the year will end in style with a special Turbo Week featuring PKOs along with the return of the popular Pennsyl-MANIA. Players can easily take part in both, with the opportunity to rack up a ton of extra cash as 2020 comes to an end.

Turbo Week

Let’s start with Turbo Week. From December 13-20, players can compete in more than 50 progressive knockout tournaments. Each event will be fast-paced with $500,000 in total prize money up for grabs. This is the first time that Turbo Week has taken place in the state.

Players will be able to compete in events that have faster blind levels. The time frame will range from five to six minutes for a Turbo event. Hyper tournaments will move even faster with three minute blind levels. Buy-ins will start at a low $5 and go as high as $1,000 for high roller events.

The schedule is filled with all kinds of events including Win the Button, Progressive Knockouts, Heads-up and Zoom. Game formats are also mixed and include Omaha, Hold’em, HORSE, 8-Game and Badugi. The special week will end with two Main Events. One will have a buy-in of $200 and feature $60,000 in total prize money. The second will be a mini version that has a lower $20 buy-in and $10,000 up for grabs.

Pennsyl-MANIA Back Again

For a third time, PokerStars is offering players in the Keystone State access to Pennsyl-MANIA. The event will have the same buy-in as always, of $200. But this time, the prize money has been jacked up to $500,000. This will actually be the largest guarantee ever for a single event in the history of regulated online poker in the United States.

The special event will go on for two days. The first day is December 27 and action will continue for eight hours. Players who make it will then move on to Day two on December 28. Players will be given 15,000 in starting chips. Reentry is open up to five times for each player with the late registration period running for four hours and thirty-five minutes.

Players who want to take part in the event but don’t have the buy-in can participate in satellites and qualifiers. PokerStars PA is providing several options each day. Some have two to three seats up for grabs while others offer as many as 30 seats to the event.

Players can buy-in to the satellites for $10, $20, or $30. There will also be a special depositor Freeroll taking place. Anyone who deposits $30 with the bonus code MANIA before the 27th at 13:59 ET will be given a ticket to the event. This provides even more action for poker players in the state! All the details of the upcoming events can be found at the PokerStars PA website.
