Jeremy "Chipchecka" Ausmus won another World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet on September 19. He received $51,807 after leading in Event No.7: $365 NLH and beating his closest rival, Nick "CashUsKlay" Schulman. The latter was searching for a fourth WSOP bracelet, but he finished second and won $37,792.
The Hendon Mob states that Ausmus' latest victory increased his poker earnings to $12.6 million. The tournament attracted 571 players who formed a $299,722 prize pool.
It had a low buy-in but didn't lack enough heavy hitters on the final day, including Daniel "DNegs" Negreanu and David "jimisendrix" Oppenheim. The former finished eighth with $6,079, while the latter finished 13th with $2,635.

The High Roller Crew
Many talented players competed in the event. Three of them won 13 bracelets. Negreanu got six bracelets, Ausmus four bracelets, and Schulman three bracelets.
Negreanu tweeted after advancing to the final table that he assumed his two opponents would play in Poker Masters soon with larger buy-ins than the ones they had in Event No.7: $365 NLH. Yet, the poker legend was among the first players to leave the final table after his pocket sevens lost to Kevin "Special K333" Calenzo's ace-queen.
The latter left the tournament in the sixth position with 410,990 after Ausmus' pocket jacks dominated his pocket sixes. Ausmus' dominance continued when he busted Srinivas "Nutts" Tummala in fourth place with $20,154 and Christian "Quad7s" Loucas in third place with $27,611. But Schulman had almost the same chips as Ausmus when they met in a heads-up battle.
Ausmus slowly chipped away at Schulman up to the final hand. Both of them got the hand on the flop as Ausmus had two pair being ahead of Schulman's open-ended straight draw. The latter failed to improve, and his dream to win a fourth bracelet died while Ausmus won his fifth WSOP bracelet.
It Was Ausmus' Fourth Bracelet in Less Than a Year
Ausmus's latest win is his fourth bracelet in under a year. He won two bracelets in the 2021 WSOP and the third one in the World Series.
The poker pro kicked off the series by winning $48,687 in Event No. 3: $1,000 Covid-19 Relief Charity Event and winning $1,188,918 in Event No.84: $50,000 PLO High Roller after finishing third.
Ausmus beat 212 opponents in Event No. 23: $3,000 6-Handed NLH to win $142,147 and his fourth bracelet in the 2022 WSOP. His bracelet winning streak began in 2013 when he won €70,324 in Event No.4: €1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha (WSOPE) after beating 183 players.
