Bally's Corporation disclosed on April 25 that Bally's Twin River Lincoln Resort has 40,000 square feet of high-end gaming space after it extended its casino floor.
The extension is a vital element in the March A. Crisafulli Economic Development Act that the General Assembly passed and Governor McKee signed as a law in 2021.
Was There an Opening Ceremony for the New Gaming Space?
Bally's representatives, including Paul Juliano (Senior Vice President of Bally's Rhode Island), Tonu Rohrer (General Manager and Regional Vice President), Craig Eaton (Head of Operations), and Craig Sculos (Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs), hosted the Bally's Lincoln ceremony.
Some of its guests were Philip Gould (Lincoln Town Administrator), George Nee (President AFL-CIO), Senator Frank Ciccone (Chair of Joint Committee on State Lottery), K. Joseph Shekarchi (Speaker of the House), and Governor McKee.
Eaton said during the ceremony that they were glad to celebrate the great launch together with their partners, the Division of Lottery, Gov. McKee, the Department of Business Regulation, regulators, their workforce, and Senate and House leadership. He added that property improvements like the new gaming floor are part of the $100 million they have invested in Rhode Island to increase their gaming revenue.
The Head of Operations stated that the new gaming space has a high-limit gaming venue, 27 stadium-style games, 57 table games, and 355 slot machines. The gaming operator's footprint matches the current facility design. Yet, it integrated a few feng shui principles like a huge waterfall.
Bally's Twin River Lincoln Resort has a cozy, large, and new food hall with 150 seats. Still, it has a private dining space that offers clear exterior views. "Plume & Proof" is a cigar lounge near the 16-seat casino bar which players can use to access the smoking patio.
Many Stakeholders Are Ready to Support the Resort
All visitors in the huge opening ceremony stated they will support the casino resort. Governor McKee stated that the gaming floor's expansion is a remarkable achievement for Bally's Lincoln and Rhode Island.
He thanked Bally's Corporation for partnering with the state to boost its economy. Still, he congratulated the gaming company for completing the much-anticipated expansion and consistently investing more money in Rhode Island.
Shekarchi stated that he was glad to sponsor the bill, which helped Bally's achieve its dream and eventually hold the opening ceremony.
Senate President Ruggerio praised the casino operator for upgrading its services and reinvesting in the state. This shows that it is willing to increase its gaming options for Rhode Island residents and stakeholders.
Nee admitted that the ceremony was memorable for all tradespeople and almost 1,000 gaming union members who run the casino resort. He stated that over 100 members and 20 unions contributed to the expansion and modernization of Bally's Twin River Lincoln Resort.
