Barstool Online Casino To Launch in Pennsylvania Soon

Another online casino is coming to Pennsylvania. The new market continues to grow and easily has room for more iGaming entertainment. Late last week, a promotional email was sent out by the Barstool brand detailing that a Barstool Casino was coming soon. The Barstool Sportsbook App will offer the casino, so players can easily switch from sports betting to casino games.

Stay Tuned

The mailer said that players will soon have access to the casino via the sports betting app. Members of Barstool Sportsbook will apparently be among the first to try the new online casino. The casino will offer table games like blackjack as well as live dealer games. The live dealer options will be made available via Evolution Studios.

If you visit the Apple Store to check on the status of the app, it says that a PA casino is available in May. We take this as the online casino will be launching soon. Once it is live, it will be the 16thcasino site for Pennsylvania.

Players in Michigan already have access to the Barstool Casino. The app launched back in February and players took to the new offering immediately. Last month, the March totals were released, showing the first full month of operations for the new online casino in Michigan. The brand generated $3.9 million in revenues, which was a good showing for a new operator.

The Barstool Brand

Penn National Gaming announced back in January that it had acquired a 36% stake in the Barstool Sports company. This was completed with $163 million in cash and stock. With the transaction, Barstool was then valued at $450 million.

With the agreement, Penn National has exclusive rights to use the brand for its online casino and sports betting products. The brand was partnered with Hollywood Casino early on, so the first online sportsbook of Barstool to launch was done so in Pennsylvania.

The brand continues to expand in the online casino and sports betting sectors across the United States. As more states legalize online gambling and/or sports betting, the brand has the opportunity to offer services in even more areas of the country.

Booming Pennsylvania Gaming Market

The month of April has been a busy one for the online gambling market in Pennsylvania. Early on, it was revealed that online gaming hit record revenues in March, generating over $97 million in earnings. This was a huge jump from February’s $77+ million.

The state also welcomed the new online casino for the Stardust Brand. Boyd Gaming and the FanDuel Group resurrected the old Las Vegas brand and gave it new lie online. The brand actually launched in Pennsylvania as well as New Jersey.

For online poker fans, the state welcomed a new online poker platform for Borgata and BetMGM. The new poker options were a welcome sight as players only had access to PokerStars since November 2019.

We expect the online gambling market to only continue to grow from here. It seems Pennsylvania has taken a page from New Jersey’s playbook and only gets larger, rather than experiencing any saturation or issues with multiple operators in the market.
