Benny Glaser Bags His 10th PokerStars SCOOP Title As Leon Sturn Wins the $3,150 High Roller

Benny "RunGodlike" Glaser is one of the most successful PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) players. He has vast experience in mixed games, with eight World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) titles and nine SCOOP titles before the latest SCOOP event.

Even so, the poker pro won the $109 NLHE 7-Max Turbo PKO tournament on May 25, his 10th SCOOP title and third win in the ongoing 2023 SCOOP. No one has more 'COOP titles than him so far.

The Event's Highlights

The Turbo PKO tournament attracted 2,681 entrants who formed a $268,100 prize pool. Three of its seven top players made five-figure scores from $109 buy-ins.

FelipeAA23's run ended in the third position setting up a tough match between Virgilk and Glaser. Even so, Glaser dominated Virgillk, sending him home as a runner-up with $18,860.

Leon Sturm's Victory at the $3,150 High Roller

Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis hoped to win his first SCOOP title in the SCOOP 91-H: $3,150 NLHE PKO High Roller. But luck wasn't on his side as Sturm won the event, which featured 136 players.

What Transpired at the Final Table?

ContraSpemSper0 got busted early at the table in ninth place. Milanov888 and Old brock followed them in eighth and seventh place respectively.

Sturm made a button min-raise as Veldhuis used queen-three of spades to defend a big blind. The latter check-called a 1.4 big blind wager on a six-queen-ace flop that revealed two hearts. Strum wagered and put Veldhuis all-in for 20.3 big blinds.

The latter got a call from the tank while the former's ace-deuce revealed two pair. felerrehuve, Petrone, and Koplimaa left the table in fifth, fourth, and third place respectively setting heads-up action between Sturm and Haringbuis. But, Haringbus lost the match to Sturm and took home $49,102.
