BetRivers Online Casino Launches in Pennsylvania

Online casino gaming continues to grow in the state of Pennsylvania. Online gaming sites first launched back in the summer of 2019 and since that time, new operators are launching almost every few weeks. Just over the past few weeks, several operators have been busy getting in on the action, just in time for the Super Bowl. Because players will be wagering on the big game, operators are hoping they will log in for casino gaming too. The latest to join the fray in Pennsylvania is BetRivers, launching via the Rivers brand.

BetRivers Online Casino

The online sportsbook of the Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is a little bigger now thanks to the addition of BetRivers Online Casino. The Pittsburgh location does not have an online casino license in the state, but they are able to operate under the licensing obtained by the Philadelphia casino of the same name.

Along with the BetRivers online casino, the license is also home to the PlaySugarHouse online casino. In the state, the gaming laws allow for one license to offer multiple brands. The only stipulation is that the brand has a retail casino attached. BetRivers operates as a brand of PlaySugarHouse so they have the same look and similar offerings.

Rush Street Interactive provides the platform for the Rivers products and operates the SugarHouse brand in New Jersey as well. BetRivers is a somewhat known brand as they offer sports betting in Indiana and Pennsylvania, but this is the first time the brand has offered an online casino.

Casino Gaming

BetRivers Sportsbook app now has the online casino gaming option, so players can wager on whatever they like all in one place. Spin a few slots, then place a sportsbet. With one wallet and account, wagering via the BetRivers brand is pretty simple.

Rush Street Interactive president Richard Schwartz commented on the timing of the online casino launch, stating that they wanted to launch the new platform before the Super Bowl to provide sports betting customers with access to the full services of their casino games.

Like other online casinos in Pennsylvania, the gaming offering is relatively small. The table game section is home to only two options of blackjack, baccarat and several roulette games. For slots, the selection is bigger than some, with over 60 games such titles included in the mix are Atomic Meltdown and Double Ruby. More games will be added once the Gaming Control Board approves them.

New players to BetRivers will find the brad offers a nice selection of banking methods. Real money gaming is possible once a deposit has been made via credit or debit card, e-check, PayPal, wire transfer, prepaid cards from BetRivers or online banking.

For withdrawing funds, players can use the BetRivers Play+ card, online banking, casino cage or check by mail.

The addition of BetRivers will only add to the overall revenue earnings for the state. It will be interesting to see where the figures stand over the next few months as the latest online casinos get into full months of operation.
