Details of the Deal
The new deal will see DraftKings NJ online casino have access to the SG OpenGaming platform of Scientific Games. This will provide the online casino with the full selection of games from the platform, as well as third-party content. Essentially, the deal will allow the DraftKings Casino too offer a ton of new content for players in New Jersey.
The boost will be welcome as players have seen more games offered by other providers like Caesars and the Golden Nugget. DraftKings only offered games in the double digits while others were providing hundreds of options. Despite the short-coming though, players have still visited the casino and DraftKings has earned top revenues.
DraftKings has done quite to have started as a daily fantasy sports company and moved on to offer sports betting, then delved into the online casino segment. Once sports betting was opened up in the US, the operator wasted no time making the switch to sports betting. Once established in this segment, they then opened their online casino site.
Now with more games, DraftKings is sure to see even more traffic and wagers placed.
The OpenGaming Suite
Scientific Gaming launched their OpenGaming suite in October 2019. The product is a fusion of their existing service options known as Open Gaming and Open Platform. Open Gaming is a content distribution system while the Open Platform is a player management system.
Both have been integrated within one single ecosystem which allows the company to use new technology that will help bring in operators like DraftKings to create new partnership deals.
Just recently, Scientific Games announced a new Free Rounds feature for the OpenGaming suite. With the new feature, operators can choose to give their members a choice to spend free spins on any game within the platform.
