Entain Foundation US Launches New Online Gambling Responsibility Tool

Responsible gambling is at the forefront of operations in the United States. Regulators and operators want to be sure that every player knows how to bet responsibly and stay safe while playing. To provide additional help for online gamblers, the Entain Foundation U.S. has decided to launch a new responsible gambling app in the states. This week, Gamble Responsibly America was released, offering a free tool for players to learn responsible gambling habits.

Details of the App

Gamble Responsibly America was created by RG24/7 and EPIC Risk Management. The app can be downloaded in both the Google Play Store and the App Store. There are several features included in the app that help players lower the risk of a gambling addiction while enjoying online casinos and poker sites.

Players can learn how to set betting limits on deposits as well as taking a time-out. For players who are interested, the app also includes a self-assessment quiz to see if gaming habits should be altered in any way.

The app can be used to keep track of betting choices, including behaviors and feelings connected to gameplay. This information can then be used to make smart decisions regarding gambling activity. Along with reading the information, the app includes videos that provide insight into potentially harmful behavior.

Anyone using the app who wants to seek help can use a live chat function. There are people available 24/7 to help provide a connection to the National Council on Problem Gambling. Additional information is also provided on where a player can find more help with a potential gambling problem.

Entain Senior Vice President for American Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Gambling and Trustee of the Entain Foundation U.S., Martin Lycka, stated that the application is a commitment by the group to responsible gaming and betting.

The first-of-its-kind app will help individuals who access gambling activities by offering resources and programs for assistance.

Additional Player Education

Before launching the new app, Entain was already busy setting up new partnerships and programs to help players who participate in gambling activity. A sports betting player education initiative was launched in partnership with colleges and sports leagues around the nation.

PlayPause was also created, a cross-border tool that allows players to self-exclude from online gambling in multiple states. This tool is beneficial to players who travel often and need to exclude. It is easy for some people to move from one state to another and with gambling offered in more states now, the pull to iGaming can be strong.

With the PlayPause tool, players can limit gaming in several states. Without access, any problem gambling can be worked on instead of creating more harm by going to another state to play online.

Entain has also enlisted the help of Harvard Medical School. The Division of Addiction at Cambridge Health Alliance is working on a five-year research initiative involving addictive behavior and problematic behavior.

Players can check out the new Gamble Responsibly America app now and compare their betting style to see if any changes need to be made. Downloading takes only a few seconds and you can instantly access the quality tools and resources the app provides.
