FanDuel and MotorCity Team up in Michigan for iGaming

Online gaming continues to grow in the state of Michigan, with new operators joining in almost every day now. The industry just started a few days ago and already, there is a large selection of operators to choose from. Now in the mix is well-known operator FanDuel, having signed a deal with MotorCity Casino to partner via online gaming services. The two are working together to provide online casino games and sports betting services in the state.

New Gaming Options

Players in Michigan can now access the FanDuel Sportsbook & Casino app. The app provides access to sports betting services as well as casino games. There is also a FanDuel Casino app that offers strictly casino gaming options. Both apps are open to Android and iOS users.

The operator is also offering fantasy sports betting. Players can move between all three options seamlessly via the FanDuel application. A major perk is that the wallet is connected to all options. So, this means that players can use winnings from casino games to place sports bets or vice versa.

The deal with FanDuel was announced by MotorCity Casino back in March of last year. The online gambling market of the state took some time to develop, so it was almost a year later before services were live.

What’s On Offer?

New players to the FanDuel app have access to quality promotional deals. Players can choose to play casino games via the standalone app or via the sportsbook app by accessing the casino lobby. The games in the casino include slot titles, roulette, video poker, blackjack games, and baccarat.

With the sports betting application, players can access wagers on all professional sports as well as collegiate options. The expanded selection of markets is vast, providing options for every sports fan. Easily wager on the Super Bowl now or other professional leagues when their seasons begin over the next few months.

FanDuel has expanded services over the past few months across the United States. Before launching in Michigan, the brand was already offering wagering options in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Virginia.

A Growing Market

Michigan is the latest state in the US to start offering both online casino and sports betting options. Online poker will launch in the future, allowing the state to join others like New Jersey and Pennsylvania in offering a well-rounded iGaming market.

After only being in operation a few days, players have already taken to the new entertainment sites. This past weekend, the NFL championship games caused sportsbooks to see heavy traffic flow. Online casinos were busy too as players logged in to accounts for the very first time to learn more about how to play slots and table games for real money.

It is expected that the market will only continue to grow in the days and weeks ahead. Once January ends, a report will be issued with the revenue and betting totals. While the state was only operational for a few days, it will still give us an idea as to how much can be earned in the state. Once the market matures, Michigan could give competing states like New Jersey a run for their money!
