FanDuel Online Casino Sees Major Success in Pennsylvania

Online casino gaming is relatively new in the state of Pennsylvania, as the first sites just launched last summer. When the industry started, online casino sites had only a few slots and table games, slowly building their portfolio to offer more. Last month, online table games saw just over $270 million wagers, being a little more popular among players than the slots, which brought in $192 million. FanDuel Casino was a little late to the party, launching towards the end of January, but has seen great success, bringing in over $84 million in wagers in just eight days!

FanDuel Online Casino

Working with Boyd Gaming and Valley Forge Casino, FanDuel launched their online casino in Pennsylvania on January 24th. This is the first time that FanDuel has offered online casino gaming under their brand name.

In just a short amount of time in operation, the online casino was able to see a huge amount of bets, with a total of $84.7 million wagered. The online casino produced 31% of the total table game wagers online in January, which is surprising considering the length of time the site was operational. For revenues, the table games generated $1.7 million. Slots cams in at $375,000.

The table games offered at FanDuel include Blackjack, Blackjack Classic Touch, Roulette, French Roulette and European Roulette. The site offers a total of 12 slot games alongside the five table game options.

The focus of FanDuel is of course their online sportsbook but they do plan on adding more casino games in the future to enhance their product.

For the sports betting operations, the FanDuel product took in a betting handle of $156 million, earning revenues of $8 million for the month of January. The brand is extremely popular in the state among the sports betting crowd, earning around 50% of the bets placed online. The option can only be access via Android or iOS as no desktop version is currently available.

More New Online Casinos

Pennsylvania is also home to additional new online casinos as two more options launched around the same time as FanDuel. On January 28th, BetAmerica began their soft launch and is operated via the Churchill Downs brand in association with the Presque Isle Downs.

On January 30th, the BetRivers online casino launched, which pushed the online gaming options in the state to eight total. The industry should continue to grow as existing operators add more content and hopefully new operators get in on the action.

Other online casinos have been in operation for some time and have seen success in 2020. For SugerHouse, the online gaming brand saw $76 million in table game wagers and $70.4 million in slot bets last month. Hollywood Casino was a bit behind, earning just $22.3 million in table game bets and $47.3 million in slots.

Parx Casino saw $23 million wagered on table games and a bit more on slots at $32.4 million. PokerStars had a nice uptick in table game wagers at $49.3 million and just over $22 million on slot games. The Unibet brand came up in the rear, with $18.7 million in table game bets and $11.1 million in slot wagers.

We will continue to follow the online gambling totals in Pennsylvania throughout the year to watch as the industry continues to grow and expand. It is interesting to note the top players and watch as
