The hotel will be 150 feet tall and include just over 200 guest rooms. In total, the casino property will now be home to 447 hotel rooms. The project is the first expansion for the casino since it opened back in 2009.

Along with the hotel, casino goers will have access to 100,000 sq. ft. of new gaming space. The casino will be home to slots, video poker, and table games. For Texas Hold’em fans, the casino will include a new cardroom with live poker on 25 gaming tables.

The plans also include a unique rooftop restaurant on the 11th floor of the new hotel tower. Visitors will be able to sit outside and dine while enjoying an amazing view of the desert landscape the is so well-known in Arizona.

Starting a New Chapter

The new expansion scheme is being called a new chapter in the history of the Gila River Indian Community by the Gila River Hotels & Casinos CEO Kenneth Manuel. The project is a major investment by the community and one that reflects the commitment of the tribe to be a leader in the gaming and hospitality industry by offering enhanced experiences and amenities.

The tribe is also looking to offer new options via technological advances. The tribe recently signed a new deal with GAN, a top-rated gambling technology provider. This partnership will see GAN provide the land-based operator with simulated gaming solutions.

Gila River operates the Vee Quiva casino and the Lone Butte venue, both of which will benefit from this new deal alongside Wild Horse Pass. The simulated gaming technology and software will be added to each casino, and it includes application framework as well as a desktop template.

All three properties of Gila River will be able to utilize the technology provided by GAN with its unique simulated gaming platform. Marketing and additional customer service options will also be provided with the software implementation.

Big things are happening for Gila River and it will be exciting to watch as the operator grows and expands over the next few months to offer even more great gaming options and amenities for players.
