Hard Rock International Ends Partnership with GiG; Chooses Scientific Games as Supplier

When it comes to online casino gaming and sports betting, operators require a supplier to ensure their platform operates effectively. Partnerships usually last for a few years between operators and suppliers and are extended so that a good working deal can continue. However, in some cases, partners find it difficult to meet their future goals by remaining in a partnership. For Hard Rock International and Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), the two have decided it is time to part ways.

Hard Rock worked with GiG since 2018 and used the supplier’s expertise to run its online casino and sports betting platforms. Now that the two have broken their contract agreement, Hard Rock will now be working with Scientific Games.

New Partnership Agreement

Scientific Games will now provide the service options needed for Hard Rock International in the US. This includes using its OpenSports digital and retail solution in New Jersey and Iowa. The company will provide sportsbook operation for the brand in agreed states.

For online casino gaming, the Hard Rock will utilize Scientific Games OpenGaming solution. This option will be used for apps as well as the official online gaming website of Hard Rock. With the OpenGaming solution, players will have access to digital solutions in New Jersey and Iowa.

Scientific Games Group CEO, Digital, Jordan Levin, commented on the new deal by stating that the Hard Rock brand is instantly recognizable globally and to be able to extend their partnership again is a testament to the product development capabilities of Scientific Games within the online gaming and sports sector within the US.

The digital team of SG has massive expertise when it comes to sports and online gaming. The team is looking forward to working with Hard Rock via their online operations.

Hard Rock International SVP Online Gaming and Sports Betting Kresimi Spajic commented as well stating that the brand wanted to take their online casino and sports betting services to the next level and Scientific Games allow them to do just that. The launch of OpenGaming in New Jersey allows Hard Rock to expand their offering with this product solution.

Moving Forward Quickly

The announcement of Hard Rock International and GiG’s breakup was just made this morning, Hard Rock then wasted no time in deciding on a new platform provider. Of course, they most likely had this move in the works for quite a while now.

Hard Rock and GiG decided to dissolve their partnership because the two companies did not share the same vision for the future when it came to individual company goals. Hard Rock removed an exclusivity clause in the contract with GiG, which allows the supplier to now create deals with other online gaming operators.

It is unclear as to who GiG will be working with in the future. There is no doubt that news will launch soon involving new operators that the supplier will be working with in the United States. For Hard Rock, they are excited to get going, offering services via Scientific Gaming.
