Las Vegas will host more guests this summer as its poker tournaments increase. Paris and Horseshoe will hold the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Yet, other local casinos will organize various poker events.
The 2023 ARIA Poker Classic is the Strip's newest live poker tournament. Still, ARIA Casino will hold the BetMGM Poker Championship for the second time. The event will occur between June 9 and June 13 during the ARIA Poker Classic at the casino's Poker Room.
It will have a $3,500 buy-in like last year. But, this year's BetMGM Poker Championship's guaranteed prize pool will be double that of 2022. Players will compete for $2 million in prizes.
The tournament's final table will be played on June 13 in PokeGO Studio. Poker enthusiasts can easily access its live stream.
How Can Players Qualify for the BetMGM Poker Championship?
The 2023 BetMGM Poker Championship will feature over 100 Canadian and U.S. online players. BetMGM online players from Canada, Ontario, Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania from May 1. They will get an opportunity to qualify for the Las Vegas tournament.
The championship's online qualifiers will get the following packages:
- A free six-night stay at ARIA Casino between June 7 and June 13, 2023, and travel expenses
- The Mystery Bounty tournament's $800 buy-in
- The BetMGM Poker Championship $3,500 buy-in
Luke Staudenmaier, BetMGM's Director of Poker, states that they are excited to offer Las Vegas poker players another chance to take part in the championship. This is ARIA's second consecutive year hosting a Championship tournament.
BetMGM is committed to strengthening its partnership with MGM Resorts as it connects its online players to the country's best poker rooms. Some people claim that Nevada residents will soon access the BetMGM online poker room for over a year. Even so, this hasn't occurred yet for the BetMGM Poker Championship.
The gaming operator didn't comment on Nevada players' addition to its poker room. Yet, Vegas players can take part in regular events and cash games at ARIA.
BetMGM received the 13th waiver on launching Nevada's online poker room. The state's poker players can only play online poker at the WSOP website.
Other Poker Tournaments on the Las Vegas Strip
The WSOP is the most popular poker series that Las Vegas hosts in the summer. Yet, the Strip will have extra event options and cash games.
Wynn Las Vegas will soon hold the Wynn Summer Classic between May 25 and July 19. The 2023 series will feature $28 million in guaranteed prizes and one of its most competitive tournaments will be a three-day $3,500 No-Limit Hold'em tournament that will have a $4 million guaranteed prize pool.
The Golden Nugget in downtown Vegas will hold the Grand Poker Series from May 30 to July 3. It will comprise 89 tournaments with over $3 million in prize money. More casinos will soon disclose other poker events.
