March Madness Prop: Will Any Final Four Game Go To Overtime?

Odds via BetOnline as of Thursday, April 1

  • No -1500
  • Yes +600

Overtime is one of the most exciting aspects of any sport that offers it. March Madness basketball is no exception to that. So far, there have been five overtime games this tournament. However, BetOnline is favoring that there won’t be an overtime game in the Final Four at -1500. There hasn’t been a Final Four overtime game in at least the last 15 tournaments, meaning it’s an unlikely scenario.

Out of the remaining teams, only UCLA has played in overtime this tournament by doing it twice.

Will Gonzaga Win by Double Digits Against UCLA?

Odds via BetOnline as of Thursday, April 1

  • Yes -175
  • No +170

At 30-0, Gonzaga is entering the Final Four as the favorite to win the entire March Madness Tournament. To make things more impressive, they’ve won their last 27 games by double-digit margins and look to do so again against UCLA. According to BetOnline, that’s likely to happen at -175.

Gonzaga makes scoring look easy. They’re averaging 91.6 points per game, which is, by far, the most out of any NCAA team. UCLA may have a hard time keeping up with that. They’ve scored 73 or fewer in three of their five games this tournament, including only 51 points against Michigan last round. In the two games that they scored more, both involved overtime. While UCLA’s Cinderella run is impressive, Gonzaga is a whole different beast.

March Madness Prop: Total Points Drew Timme Against UCLA

Odds via BetOnline as of Thursday, April 1

  • Over 19.5 points -110
  • Under 19.5 points -110

Gonzaga’s Drew Timme has been one of the best players throughout March Madness. He’s led the Bulldogs in points over their last three games, averaging 25.0 ppg in that span.

On the other hand, it’s important to remember that Gonzaga has other really good players too. Jalen Suggs and Corey Kispert are two of Timme’s most talented teammates who could each take over a game if necessary. The trio also all have decent odds at winning the March Madness Most Outstanding Player Award. So, if Timme doesn’t score 20 or more points, it might not be because he had a bad game but because his teammates stepped up.

Baylor Score 61 or Fewer Points Against Houston?

Odds via BetOnline as of Thursday, April 1

  • No -400
  • Yes +250

Houston has been a defensive force this tournament. They’ve held their opponents to an average of 55.8 ppg through the first four rounds of March Madness. No team scored more than 61. However, BetOnline doesn’t see that trend continuing, setting the odds at -400 for Baylor to score more.

With all due respect to Houston, each of their opponents was a double-digit-seeded team. Meanwhile, Baylor has averaged 83.0 ppg this season. They have the second-best national championship odds behind Gonzaga. Even though the game should be close, it’s unlikely that Houston will hold Baylor to 61 or fewer.
