The Delaware iGaming industry is not keeping up with other states in the country, but it is an industry that continues to be on the rise. Not only is this an industry that has continued to grow, but the results from March were almost impossible to explain.
According to the Delaware Lottery, the online casino industry brought in $4.63 million in March, and that was a massive year-to-year increase. This number represented a 20% jump from the February revenue numbers, but there was even bigger growth year-to-year.
Total online casino revenue in March represented a 224% increase from the March 2023 numbers. A change in an online casino partner could be one of the reasons for the jump, but there are some other factors at play as well.
This was also a new monthly record for the state of Delaware, and the industry is on pace to shatter the state revenue record. The Delaware Lottery got the boost that was expected after ditching 888 and moving forward with a partnership with Rush Street Interactive.

Rush Street Interactive has had a ton of experience in the online gaming industry, and the BetRivers brand is popular throughout the world. Delaware just wasn’t seeing a ton of success with 888, even though that company had been in operation for the last 10 years.
BetRivers Casino in Delaware has seen their overall numbers increase every single month that it has taken over the monopoly in the state. 888 hadn’t even come close to getting to $2 million in monthly revenue, and the state was missing out on some key tax revenue.
The Delaware Lottery has acknowledged this change in the operator and is celebrating the massive success. BetRivers is enjoying this massive run as well, but it’s an operator that has done even better in other states.
This state came in sixth place out of six when looking at the gross gaming revenue in March, but that makes sense. With a population of just over 1 million people. This state just doesn’t have a ton of people playing online casino games.
Delaware Park Leads the Way
Online slots continue to be the most popular form of online gaming in the state, and that’s a trend that is seen elsewhere. That form of online casino gaming accounted for over $3.3 million of the monthly total, while the online table game brought in $1.3 million.
Delaware Park has been the leader in online casino gaming in the state and that trend continued in the month of March. That casino brought in just over $2 million in revenue to account for nearly 45% of the total, and easily got past the other online casino options.
Harrington and Bally’s Dover are the two other online casino options in the state, but both have struggled to keep pace. Despite leading the way in terms of total revenue for the month of March, Delaware Park actually saw their totals decrease.
