New Rooms and Suites Opened in the Plaza Hotel and Casino

Downtown Las Vegas continues to grow at a steady pace as the Plaza Hotel and Casino debuts new rooms, as well as suites. The luxurious guest rooms were opened by the Mayor of Las Vegas, Carolyn G. Goodman, and even the former Mayor, Oscar B. Goodman, was present at the opening ceremony. The two officials invited Las Vegas visitors to drop by and experience the newest addition to Plaza Hotel and Casino.

The newest accommodations feature a lot of improvements, including redesigned floors, upgraded technology, and more. Moreover, the decoration is cutting-edge, and the rooms are made more energy efficient.

Jonathan Jossel, Plaza Hotel & Casino CEO, stated that the evolution and growth of downtown Las Vegas has never been higher.

Furthermore, he added that they were excited about all the projects that take place between the Symphony Park and Fremont Street as they would attract more visitors downtown, helping them create experiences that they would remember forever.

Finally, Jossel added that the reason why they introduced Luxe rooms was that they wanted to “raise the standard” when it comes to high-quality accommodation in the heart of the city.

Improvements

The North Tower of the Plaza Hotel & Casino was the main building where the renovation process took place. Approximately 120 rooms which are located on the top floor were completely transformed, and the entire action cost about $15 million.

The average size of the Luxe rooms is 325 square feet, and in order to achieve that, there were some big changes in the infrastructure. One of the examples of how they managed to improve the rooms is by removing adjoining doors, creating more space for storage and inserting modern wardrobes. They basically used a total of 16 rooms and created eight big and luxurious suites.

The decoration of the rooms is very exciting, as it features bold colors, graphics, and various tones of wood and mixed metals. High-end design is also visible in Luxe rooms. For example, they have completely reimagined bathrooms, big walk-in showers, dimensional tiles and more. Outside of the bathrooms, there is laminate flooring, barn door entry, and more.

Technology-wise, the rooms have Amazon Echo Dot, which is a part of the alarm clock. It enables guests to use voice commands for Alexa in order to find out more about the weather, play music, and whatnot. In fact, they can use Alexa for various facility-related tasks. For example, visitors can contact the staff of the hotel, request housekeeping, make a reservation for a pool cabana, and make dinner reservations in places such as Oscar’s Steakhouse.

Moreover, there are several USB charging ports in every room, as well as a big flat-screen TV with premium cable. On top of that, visitors can use various things such as a coffee maker, fridge, and more. Finally, there is also a wet bar, as well as a great look at either Fremont Street or mountain views.

In order to make every guest feel special, each room has LED lighting that is very energy efficient. Moreover, the climate control system has been upgraded, and it can now notice when there is nobody in the room and save energy that way.

Finally, the safety of every room has been upgraded, as they use cutting-edge technology using RFID card entries. This is the latest safety feature, and it has only recently become very popular.

The Plaza now features a total of 1,000 rooms that have been secured this way. Therefore, if safety is your priority, you will not have to worry about that when you visit the Plaza.
