Online Casinos in Pennsylvania Testing Live Dealer Games

Online casino gaming in Pennsylvania continues to grow as more operators get in on the action as well as existing providers launching new games. This week, we have learned that Evolution Gaming is soft launching online live dealer games via BetRivers, PlaySugarHouse and DraftKings Casino. Once the soft launch is over and regulators approved, the games will be available full time.

The New Content

BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse operate on the same license while DraftKings provides online casino gaming via Hollywood Casino. BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse started the soft launch yesterday, offering games from 11 am until 7pm. The testing phase continues today from 11 am until 9pm.

For these two operators, they are offering more content than their competitors when it comes to live dealer games. Players can access three blackjack titles and three roulette games currently. The two brands continue to be the leaders in the Pennsylvania iGaming market, always the first to offer new gaming options.

The parent company behind PlaySugarHouse and BetRivers is Rush Street Interactive. The President of the company, Richard Schwartz, commented on the new launch by stating: “Many online players prefer live dealer options because they watch the action as it happens, which gives them a higher level of trust in the outcome.  A live dealer game is the closest you can get online to playing in a land-based casino and we’re thrilled to be the first to offer players in Pennsylvania the opportunity to virtually sit and play on Evolution’s world renowned live tables.”

For DraftKings, the games offered are a bit smaller. They have three blackjack games and one roulette option. Betting is low with one blackjack game starting at just $1 limits. The roulette variant also has $1 minimum betting. The other two blackjack games have $25 and $50 minimums.

The games offered at all the online casinos in the state are supplied by Evolution, streamed from a game studio in Philadelphia. The study is set up to offer several gaming options and will move on to provide services for other operators as deals are made.

Evolution is already quite popular in New Jersey with its live dealer games and should launch additional titles in Pennsylvania in the future. In New Jersey, players have access to unique titles like Slingshot Roulette as well as Ultimate Texas Hold’em, three card poker and baccarat.

Live dealer games are a popular content category at online casinos as they offer a more immersive and realistic gaming experience from home for players to enjoy. Players gravitate towards the live dealer tables due to the interaction as well as watching the game play out in real time in a live setting.

It is expected that Evolution’s live dealer games will pass the soft test phase and move on to a full-scale launch. With this addition, we should see operator revenues increase at a high rate. The state may actually start to give New Jersey a little more competition if the state continues to grow at its current pace.
