2020 Borgata Winter Poker Open Begins This January

As the New Year begins, the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City is preparing to host the 2020 Borgata Winter Poker Open. The popular poker series will run from the 14th through the 31st, offering a ton of poker action. The series will include 25 events, with someone for everyone at the felt.

Highlights of the Schedule

The series begins with the $540 + $60 Deepstack Kick-Off NLH event, which will have five starting flights and have a prize pool guarantee of $2 million. Another big event on the schedule includes the $1 million GTD Almighty Stack, which has a $350 + $50 buy-in. For heads-up fans, the schedule includes a special one-on-one affair featuring a $3,000 + $125 buy-in.

Players can put their poker play to good use with the Charity Series of Poker Tournament while high rollers can compete in a larger $5,000 + $100 event. Also on the schedule is the World Poker Tour Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship. This event has a $3,500 buy-in and will feature $3 million in guaranteed prize money.

Last year, the World Poker Tour Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship was a big hit, with 1,415 players competing, pushing the prize pool to well over $4.5 million. The eventual winner of the event was Vinicius Lima, who took home $728,430 for a first-place finish.

Players can enter now to win a seat to the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship. The entry time frame is open through January 17th at 10:00am EST. Players simply log online and fill out a form to enter. Only one entry is allowed per person.

The lucky winner will receive the $3,500 entry into the big event. The winner can choose their starting date, be it January 26th for Day 1A at 11:00am or January 27th for Day 1B at 11:00am.
