2024 WPT Prime Gold Coast Coming Soon

The World Poker Tour (WPT) just continues to host some terrific events, and the next big tournament is going to be held down in Australia. The WPT Prime Gold Coast festival is going to be held at The Star Gold Coast.

This will be the third straight year that this event is going to be held at The Star Gold Coast, and the casino is working hard to make this the best version yet. WPT tournaments just continue to get bigger, and a record number of entrants is expected to compete in this event.

All of the action is going to take place from April 11th through April 23rd, but there will be plenty of action on each day. One thing that is guaranteed is that WPT events are known for handing out large sums of cash.

A majority of the players are expected to be from Australia, but there will be some other players from around the world that make the trip to Australia. Since there is a break in the WPT season, several players on this tour now have a large break in their schedule.

Not only will there be a wide range of buy-ins available, but there will also be different forms of poker played at this event as well.

WPT Prime Championship Scheduled

Even if players aren’t going to head to Australia to take part in the entire event, there is a huge field expected for the 2024 WPT Prime Championship. There were 895 players in this Main Event two years ago, but it wasn’t long before word got out about this championship.

There were over 1,200 players in the Main Event last year, and this year’s total should push close to 1,400. Some satellite tournaments are going to take place leading up to this event, and that will allow players to qualify for the final table.

It’s really hard to determine how much money will be paid out as that number will be determined based on the number of entries. There will be flights that take place in Australia for those in the Main Event, and the top players will simply be looking to survive and advance.

Tournaments For High-Rollers

The WPT is known for having great options for players that don’t view themselves as true professionals, and most of the buy-ins are going to be extremely small. While that might be the case, there will also be a number of options for the high-rollers that are looking to win big.

There is a $5K Challenge again in this event, and that was one of the most popular options a year ago. Some of the other No-Limit Hold’Em events are going to come with big buy-ins and a nice guarantee for those players that sign up.

There will also be some valuable points available at this tournament, and those points can be cashed in for bigger events later in the year. It won’t be long before the action begins and there will be updates as the action unfolds.
