888poker Changes Up Player Experience with Android Mobile App Revamp

To keep players satisfied and technology up to date, online poker brands continue to make changes to their sites and apps on a regular basis. 888poker recently announced a major update to its Android app, actually the largest revamp of the app to date. With the new changes, players have a new experience which will upgrade the use of the app as well as features on offer.

What’s New?

There are several changes to the app that help to create a more streamlined online poker experience. Portrait layout has been redesigned with the lobby now offered in portrait view. The interface uses a grid formation for the layout instead of the traditional side-swiping interface. Players just scroll on the vertical to find games in which to play.

From the lobby, players can also find gaming options by looking through pre-defined stake ranges. Players can go straight into the game instead of having to look for game type and stake range. The process is simplified and much more streamlined for the seasoned player.

For tournament players, the upcoming events are offered via scrolling with filters that can easily narrow down the search. This streamlines the mobile experience for players who enjoy utilizing tournament gaming options in all formats and stake ranges.

In the lobby, players will also find that text chat is no longer an option. The text portion has been changed to emojis and players can throw virtual objects at their friends for fun.

As far as multi-tabling is concerned, players can play up to four tables at once via mobile. This is a completely new feature as this was not an option in the past on the app. Players use buttons at the top of the device to switch between tables. The layout shows a preview of hole cards and then an alert will be sent when action needs to be taken.

Right now, only Hold’em games can be played via Android. For PLO gaming, players will have to use the desktop to play. For iOS users, 888poker has not extended their app update as of yet. It is expected that an update will be provided in the future.

Just in Time for New Series

The new update for Android comes just in time for the Millions Superstorm, which kicks off September 10. The series will offer over 480 tournament events and continue through early October. Players will have plenty of ways to play daily, with the app helping to streamline the experience for Android users.

The series will offer up to $8 million in total guaranteed prize money. Players will find low and high stakes options, with buy-ins going as high as $530 and as low as $5.50. With a wide range of options, players of all types can take part.

An amazing 15 tournaments will take place each day. This makes it easy for players to find something to play, no matter the time of day. Android users can easily check out the series next month via mobile device, as well as players via desktop.
