Aussie Millions Promotion Starts Today at Intertops Poker

Intertops Accepts Australian PlayersIntertops Poker is hosting a promotion targeted at Australian players in which one player will win a package to Event #1 in next January´s Aussie Millions.

Last month, I reported how [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/intertops-poker/”]Intertops Poker (review)[/geolink] was attempting to attract exiled online poker players in Australia with a special AEST-timed [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/intertops-targeting-aussie-players-aest-timed-events/”]Aussie Tournament Series[/geolink]. Now Intertops is stepping up its efforts to attract players from down under with a second Aussie Tournament Series and a special promotion in which one player will win a package to Event #1 in next January´s Aussie Millions.

The promotions are not exclusively for Australian poker players. Every player can take part. However for US-based players, the timings of the Aussie Tournament Series are not particularly kind, and the package to the Aussie Millions only includes $500 towards travelling expenses. As anybody who has visited Australia will know, it is not cheap to get there!

Aussie Tournament Series V2

Despite the first incarnation of the Aussie Tournament Series resulting in thousands of dollars of overlays, Intertops Poker is trying again. The site is hosting a second series of special AEST-timed tournaments with generous guarantees each Saturday and Sunday starting this weekend and continuing throughout October. The two events each weekend are:

  • Saturdays – The Sydney tournament has a buy-in of $5.50 and a guaranteed prize pool of $500.
  • Sundays – The Ripper tournament has a buy-in of $11.00 and a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000.

Please note the start times for each event in the Aussie Tournament Series have been brought forward since August. Previously scheduled for 8:00pm AEST (6:00am ET/10:00am GMT), the tournaments will now get underway at 4:30pm AEST (2:30am ET/6:30am GMT). This series may also be more successful than the last because, at the time, players in Australia were still able to access PokerStars. PokerStars withdrew from the Australian market on September 11th to comply with new anti-gambling laws.

Win a Package to the Aussie Millions

On Sunday 8th October at 5:00pm (AEST), Intertops Poker will host an “Aussie Millions Satellite Final” which guarantees one $3,500 package to the first event in next January´s Aussie Millions. The player winning the Final will not only win the buy-in for the AU$1 million guaranteed tournament, but also a four-night stay in the 5* Quay West Suites in Melbourne and $500 towards their travelling expenses.

The Aussie Millions Satellite Final has a direct buy-in of $110.00, so – in order to make entry into the event more affordable – Intertops Poker has developed a two-step qualification process:

  • Step 1 has a buy-in of $3.30 and guarantees one seat into a Step 2 satellite. Step 1 satellites start today and run every six hours at 2:00am, 8:00am, 2:00pm and 8:00pm (all times AEST).
  • Players can either qualify for Step 2 via a Step 1 satellite or buy-in directly for $11.00. Step 2 satellites run at 9:00pm each day and guarantee one seat into the Aussie Millions Satellite Final.

In addition to the two-Step qualification process, Intertops Poker will be holding a “Last Chance Wild West Satellite” at 1:00pm on Sunday 8th October. This hyper-turbo event has a buy-in of just $1.10 and guarantees one seat in the Aussie Millions Satellite Final. Just imagine winning a coinflip qualifier like this, and then going on to score in the AU$1 million guaranteed opening event of the Aussie Millions.

More Generosity from Intertops Poker

The two promotions typify Intertop´s determination to break into the Australian market and will undoubtedly cost the site plenty of money. Despite players not having the distraction of PokerStars, the Aussie Tournament Series V2 will likely be undersubscribed once again, and the Aussie Millions promotion might struggle to attract the entries required to meet its guarantee – not only in the final event, but in some of the Step 1 and Step 2 qualifiers.

If you are not already playing at Intertops Poker, and want to participate in the Aussie Tournament Series or Aussie Millions promotion, create an account and benefit from more generosity from Intertops Poker. The site is offering new players a 200% on their first deposits up to a maximum bonus of $1,000 and offers one of the most lucrative player rewards programs in the industry.
