BetRivers Poker Coming Soon

Another new online poker site is expected to enter the industry soon, and it’s a name that many in the iGaming industry is already familiar with. Rush Street Interactive is looking to make a big move, and BetRiver Poker is on the way.

BetRivers is a big name in the online casino and online sports betting industry, and those are two names that are spread throughout the country. There is a BetRivers Casino in five different states, while the BetRivers Sportsbook can be played in 15 different states.

Rush Street Interactive has been looking to get into this industry since it acquired Run it Once Poker back in 2022. It has obviously taken Rush Street Interactive a long time to get things going, but this was also a move that they couldn’t mess up.

Two States Targeted

The ultimate goal from Rush Street Interactive is to create an online poker site that rivals others in the industry, but that will have to come with time. There are so many big names in the industry, and BetRivers poker is going to have to start off small.

While nothing has been confirmed from Rush Street Interactive, it does intend to launch in two states at the same time. The two most logical candidates to see a BetRivers Poker app are Michigan and New Jersey, and this company has a presence in each state.

These are two states that have an extremely large population, and there should be enough interest to allow BetRivers Poker to have some success. Both states are also a part of the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement, and the player pool would be the same.

While no online poker sites have currently taken advantage of that agreement, that time is coming extremely soon. Delaware, Nevada, and West Virginia are also a part of that agreement, but are not a target for Rush Street Interactive.

The third major state where online poker and casinos are popular is Pennsylvania, and that’s another state where Rush Street has had some success. This will likely be a slower process to enter into a third state, but at some point more growth will come.

No More Run it Once Poker

Phil Galfond founded Run it Once Poker, but it just wasn’t able to have any real success in the competitive online poker industry. Galfond decided to sell his product to Rush Street Interactive back in March 2022, and that was a small price to pay for getting this platform.

It was initially believed that Rush Street was going to go live right away, but that just hasn’t happened as time has passed. Initially it was expected that the new site would keep the Run it Once Poker name in some form, but that is no longer the case.

Galfond still runs an online poker training site, and he is still using the Run it Once Poker name. Rush Street has teased the BetRivers Poker name on Poker Night in America, and it appears that a launch is imminent.
