“The Cage” PLO Version Announced by WPN

"The Cage" PLO Version Announced by WPNFollowing the rip-roaring success of the Winning Poker Network’s (WPN) inaugural debut of “The Cage” last month, a Pot-Limit Omaha game is scheduled.

The Cage combines elements of ring games and tournament action into one, putting a time clock on a cash game and prohibiting players who bust out from re-buying. With a buy-in of $5,100, the first running of The Cage under a Texas Hold’em format reached a prize pool of $330,000.

The Cage II will be played as No-Limit Hold’em on November 12, while The Cage under a Pot-Limit Omaha format is scheduled for November 26 –the day before Thanksgiving. Both November games also require a $5,100 buy-in.

Why should Texas Hold’em players have all the fun? says the Americas Cardroom (ACR) website. ACR is the WPN’s flagship skin and is promoting The Cage contests quite heavily.

Americas Cardroom Perks

Those players unfamiliar with ACR will be pleased to know that a 100% up to $1,000 deposit bonus awaits first-time depositors. Also waiting for you are popular leaderboard races entitled “The Beast” and “Sit & Crush” that can boost your bankroll significantly depending upon the amount of time spent logged on and playing at the site.

An awesome player loyalty program, tables that are known to be on the “fishy” side, and excellent customer support are all benefits that players will find at ACR. Perhaps most important, however, are the extremely prompt cashouts that rank among the best in the industry.

As is evident by the name, Americas Cardroom is U.S.-friendly. The site has become a favorite online poker destination of many U.S. citizens and will likely continue on that path considering its wonderful perks.

Changes to The Cage

While the first running of The Cage was played under a three-hour time limit, the PLO and NLHE editions on the agenda for November have been changed to four hours. Three separate blind levels remain, with each set to run one hour and 20 minutes.

There are tons of satellites available for both the Nov. 12 and Nov. 26 matches, so players who favor Omaha or Hold’em can participate. Remember that the $5,100 buy-in gets you $5,000 in chips that have a real dollar value. Any chips still in front of you when The Cage door swings open after four hours of play are yours to keep.
