From next Sunday May 15, Americas Cardroom is hosting special online qualifiers in which the winners choose the live poker experience they would prefer.
Regular players at Americas Cardroom will be aware that each Sunday the site hosts two special tournaments for players who have filled the top positions in the Beast and Sit & Crush leaderboard competitions.
These tournaments can be bought into directly for $55.00 and usually award the winners with seats in one of Americas Cardrooms exclusive promotions – for example the Cage or a Million Dollar Sunday event.
From next Sunday, May 15, Americas Cardroom is giving winners the choice of live poker experiences – either a $12,500 package to the World Series of Poker Main Event in July or TWO $6,250 packages to the Punta Cana Poker Classic in October.
How to Win a Live Poker Experience at ACR
The Live Poker Experience tournaments will take place at 6:00pm (ET) and 8:00pm (ET) every Sunday up until the June 24. The top two players in the 6:00pm game (the “Beast” qualifier) will get the choice of which package they want, while just the winner of the 8:00pm game (the “Sit n Crush” qualifier) is guaranteed to win a live poker experience.
As mentioned above, both tournaments have a buy-in of $55.00, but you can qualify for “free” if you finish in a high position on the Beast or Sit n Crush leaderboard. Last week, 384 players won seats in a Cage qualifier through the Beast and Sit n Crush leaderboard promotions in addition to the $84,000 that was given away in cash prizes.
What Each Package Consists Of
Being one of the sponsors of the Punta Cana Poker Classic, Americas Cardroom is putting a hard spin on its own event. Consequently, players choosing a package to the WSOP get an entry into the World Series of Poker Main Event plus $2,500 towards their travel and hotel expenses. By comparison, players choosing two packages to the PCPC receive:
- 6 night´s accommodation at the Melia Caribe Tropical Resort (for four people!)
- Two entries to the $500,000 guaranteed Punta Cana Poker Classic Main Event
- Round trip airfare up to $400 per person (max 4)
- All-inclusive premium food and beverage package (for four people)

- Free golf for four players
- Two $350 satellite tickets into the PCPC High Rollers event
If you do not have three buddies that you would like to take with you to the Caribbean, it is possible to sell one of the Punta Cana packages and add the funds to your spending money. Alternatively, if you find it hard to choose between the live poker experiences, the simple answer is to enter the “Beast” qualifier and the “Sit n Crush” qualifier and win both!
Don´t Forget the World Series of Jackpots
Players keen to qualify cheaply for the WSOP Main Event should not forget about Americas Cardroom´s World Series of Jackpots. This promotion is based around the site´s three-handed, hyper-turbo “Jackpot” Sit & Go game, in which a random prize is spun of up to 2,500 times the buy-in.
The World Series of Jackpots promotion is slightly different inasmuch as there is only one buy-in – $3.00 – and the cash prizes range from $6.00 to just $27.00. However, when the Jackpot of $37,500 is spun, all three players seated at the table win a package to the WSOP Main Event.
