Ignition´s Black Diamond Poker Open Starts Next Sunday

Black Diamond Poker Open at IgnitionIgnition Poker´s biggest online poker tournament series to date starts next Sunday, with over $3 million in guaranteed prize pools spread over 147 events.

The Black Diamond Poker Open runs at Ignition Poker from Sunday 12th March to Monday 10th April, and features 140 feature events plus another seven “special” events added to the schedule to celebrate six years of the Black Diamond series (it was previously played on Bodog Poker and Bovada Poker).

The theme of this series appears to be to get as many players involved as possible. Most days have several events at both high and low buy-in levels, including Sunday 9th April when there will be two Main Events – one with a buy-in of $82.00 (guaranteed for $75,000) and the other with a buy-in of $450.00 (guaranteed for $300,000).

Keeping with the theme of enabling as many players as possible to participate in the Black Diamond Poker Open, Ignition Poker is hosting a comprehensive schedule of satellite qualifiers. These start with buy-ins of just $2.20 and represent an opportunity for players to win a life-changing amount for small change. To see the full range of satellite options, visit Ignition Poker today.

Plenty of Action and Plenty of Variety

As a nod to the sixth anniversary of the Black Diamond Poker Open series, all the events in this year´s series start at six minutes past the hour. On most weekdays there are four events each night starting between 7:06pm and 10:06pm (all times ET). On Saturdays, the Black Diamond action typically starts at 1:06pm and runs through to 8:06pm, while on Sundays the events get underway at 2:06pm.

Throughout the series, there is plenty of variety in the formats of the tournaments. Players will be able to choose from Deepstack, Turbo, Hyper-Turbo, Knockout, Full-Ring and 6-Max NLHE events, while there are some interesting Omaha events scheduled – including a $15,000 guaranteed PLO Hi/Lo Knockout tournament on March 27th and two No Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tournaments during the first week in April.

The “special” events listed in the schedule also celebrate the sixth anniversary of the Black Diamond Poker Open series. The guarantee for each Sunday´s regular feature tournament has been increased by $6,000, and two anniversary special events take place on the opening day of the series – the “mini” anniversary event having a buy-in of $66.00 and a guaranteed prize pool of $26,000, the “main” anniversary event having a buy-in of $325.00 and a guaranteed prize pool of $66,000.

Series Guaranteed to be Popular

With nearly 150 events lined up for the next four weeks, the Black Diamond Poker Open is sure to be a popular series. In addition to the comprehensive satellite schedule and the “mini” buy-in alternatives to the most expensive events, direct buy-ins for some events start as low as $16.50. I imagine that the novelty factor of some of the events will also attract plenty of players to the tables.

Of course, one of the most notable elements of the Black Diamond Poker Open is that all the events are played at anonymous tables. You never know who you are playing against and you could be sitting at a table packed with pros, or a table packed with novices. The important thing to remember is that players at Ignition Poker enjoy a level playing field and win according to their skill levels – not because they have poker-tracking software to help them get an advantage.

If you would like to participate in this exciting and valuable series, but do not yet have an account with the site, read my review of [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/ignition-poker/”]Ignition Poker[/geolink] to see how you could qualify for a first deposit poker bonus of up to $1,000, plus a further $1,000 in casino bonuses. What I particularly like about the Ignition Poker bonus is the way it is cleared in easy-to-reach stages before getting progressively harder. You don´t even have to play a stack of cash games to clear the bonus. You could clear the first three levels (for a total of $50.00) just by playing in all seven events on the opening day of the Black Diamond Poker Open!
