Intertops Poker is celebrating Thanksgiving by hosting a special $1,000 guaranteed tournament that will be supported by a comprehensive satellite schedule.
In October 1621, fifty-three Pilgrims sat down with ninety Native Americans to celebrate their first successful harvest in the New World. Almost five hundred years later, Intertops Poker is planning to celebrate the national day of Thanksgiving in its own unique way – with a special $1,000 guaranteed tournament next Thursday November 23rd.
The Thanksgiving Day tournament gets underway at 5:30pm (all times EST) and has a direct buy-in of $11.00. The $1,000 guaranteed tournament is planned to last most of the evening, as players start with 10,000 chips, blinds each last fifteen minutes, and the tournament has two hours of late registration – during which time re-entries will be allowed.
Qualify for Thanksgiving Tournament from Just $1.10
To support its Thanksgiving tournament, Intertops Poker is putting on a wide range of qualifiers with low buy-ins. The cheapest of them all is a $1.10 buy-in hyper-turbo “Wild West” satellite scheduled for 2:00pm on November 23rd. As this satellite only guarantees one seat for the Thanksgiving tournament, it could be worth looking at some of the earlier qualifiers if you plan to play in the target event.
Possibly the best of these is the $2.20 buy-in hyper-turbo satellites that get underway on Friday. These guarantee a minimum of one seat for the Thanksgiving tournament, plus further seats for each additional $11.00 in the prize pool. The timings of the hyper-turbo satellites are fairly erratic, as Intertops Poker is hoping to entice some of its new Australian customers to play in the event.
|Friday November 17th – 6:00pm||Monday November 20th – 10:00pm|
|Saturday November 18th – 2:00pm||Tuesday November 21st – 6:00pm|
|Sunday November 19th – 10:00am||Wednesday November 22nd – 2:00pm|
|Monday November 20th – 10:00am||Thursday November 23rd – 10:00am|
If hyper-turbo satellites are not your thing, Intertops Poker is hosting a series of re-buy and add-on satellites from Saturday. With their $3.30 buy-ins, ninety minutes of late registration and re-buy and add-on format, these qualifiers will likely pay out more seats into the Thanksgiving tournament than any other. Again, the start times of the re-buy and add-on satellites are fairly erratic:
|Saturday November 18th – 10:00am||Monday November 20th – 6:00pm|
|Saturday November 18th – 10:00pm||Tuesday November 21st – 2:00pm|
|Sunday November 19th – 10:00pm||Wednesday November 22nd – 10:00am|
|Wednesday November 22nd – 10:00pm|
$1,200 Guaranteed Sundowner Event also Scheduled for Thanksgiving
There is going to be a fair amount of money on the tables on Thanksgiving Day due to Intertops Poker´s regular $1,200 guaranteed Sundowner tournament also scheduled for Thursday evening. This event gets underway at 8:00pm – just after late registration for the Thanksgiving tournament closes – and has a direct buy-in of $55.00. There are no low buy-in qualifiers for this event.
However, there are plenty of low buy-in routes into this weekend´s $1,000 guaranteed Sunday Special tournament. This regular feature at Intertops Poker has the same structure as the Thanksgiving tournament, but with many more opportunities to qualify for pennies on the dollar. If you are unable to play in the Thanksgiving event, this may be a suitable alternative to spin a small stake into a big win.
Will You be Giving Thanks at Intertops Poker?
Intertops Poker´s tournaments may not have the biggest guarantees in the world, but you cannot fault the site for its efforts to attract players. Because Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday and most people will be sharing it with their families, there is a strong likelihood both the Thanksgiving tournament and the Sundowner event will be undersubscribed – offering extra value for players who cash in the events.
Certainly Intertops Poker is the place to play if you are a fan of value at the poker tables. The site offers a generous 200% bonus on first deposits (up to a maximum bonus of $1,000), one of the most rewarding VIP loyalty programs in the industry, and is one of the few remaining sites to distribute Frequent Player Points using the dealt rake method.
