PokerAtlas Tour Coming to Resorts World

The PokerAtlas Tour Las Vegas is going to be making a stop at Resorts World Las Vegas in March, and this is expected to be a terrific event. There will be 10 different tournaments held at this location and the dates of the series will be from March 7-18, and it’s expected to be a massive draw.

This location wasn’t just randomly chosen by the PokerAtlas Tour as it targeted Resorts World for how well it hosted the PokerStars North American Poker Tour back in 2023. This $4.3 billion property proved that it can host a massive event, and this event will actually be much smaller than it’s first time hosting.

There will be over $700,000 in guaranteed prize money available over the 10 events, and that total is expected to climb as more players sign up. Like most other poker series or events, there will be a number of different games played.

A Look at the Event

The recent announcement of the WSOP schedule in 2024 captured much of the poker world’s attention, but this event comes well before that one. While there will be some great tournaments during this series, the biggest draw will be the main event from March 14-18.

The main event is a $800 buy-in, no-limit hold’em tournament, and the total cash prize is currently sitting at $300,000. Since this is a good chunk of the total money available, it’s expected to become an extremely attractive option for the players.

This event is not going to be for the amateur players though as the smallest buy-in that is going to be offered is $260. Those tournaments are only going to come with a $10,000 guarantee, and that’s not a big prize at all.

While this event might start on March 7th, there is only going to be one event between that date and March 10th. That gap will create some excitement for the rest of the event, and could allow more people to show up at Resorts World Las Vegas.

While no-limit hold’em is the style of most of the games, there will also be some Omaha options, or the ever popular H.O.R.S.E. There will even be some other tournaments taking place while the main event is winding down.

Resorts World is Thriving

The Las Vegas area continues to grow as new casinos are opening up all of the time in that part of the state. Resorts World Las Vegas officially opened for business back in 2021, becoming the first new Las Vegas strip casino in more than 10 years.

There are over 1,400 slot machines on site at Resorts World, to go along with 117 table games, and a massive poker room. This was designed in an attempt to attract some massive events, and that has paid off.

For visitors of Resorts World, there are more than 50 different food and beverage establishments, adding to the overall experience. As this tournament continues to gain experience with poker tournaments, more organizations are expected to jump on board.
