PokerStars Celebrates One Year in Pennsylvania with Anniversary Series

Pennsylvania has offered online poker gaming for a year now. In that year, only PokerStars offered services but the industry still was popular, setting record revenues for the state. Since a year has passed, PokerStars would like to celebrate the milestone with a special Anniversary Series. A total of $1 million in prize money will be up for grabs, spread across 35 events. The series will start on November 8 and provide affordable events for players in Pennsylvania to take part in.

Details of the Exciting Series

The 1st Anniversary Series will be the eight series that PokerStars PA has offered since launching in 2019. It was unclear as to how the operator would fare in the state since it was the first state to launch iPoker since 2013. So far, the industry has fared well, with millions in revenues earned each month as players participate in cash games and tournament action.

For the new series, the schedule is filled with options. Day 1 will consist seven total events. Players can buy-in for as low as $15 and as high as $200. The buy-ins are affordable so players of all bankrolls can compete. For the low end, Event #5 offers the $15 buy-in and is a Mini Special tournament with $10,000 up for grabs.

On the higher end, player can compete in Event #3 with $150 and play for $20,000 in guaranteed prize money. The series also has Event #6, with a $200 buy-in and $30,000 in guaranteed prize money. Each of the events has varying formats and game types to keep things interesting.

Tuesday and Thursday of next week offering thrilling action for players. On Tuesday, players can take part in the Super Tuesday SE or the Mini Super Tuesday. The regular option has a buy-in of $200 and features a $50,000 prize pool. The mini version has a $20 buy-in and $15,000 in prize money.

Main Events

Like most online poker series, the main event is a big draw. For the 1st Anniversary Series, there will be a traditional Main Event and a Mini Main Event. The standard version has a buy-in of $100 and a prize pool of $200,000 guaranteed. The mini version has a much lower $20 buy-in and features $25,000 in total prize money. With two options, it allows more people to take part in the larger events of the series.

Players who bust out of an event during the Anniversary Series has a chance to take part in Second Chance Freerolls. There will be an extra $10K in tournament tickets up for grabs during these events.
