For players who cannot afford this higher buy-in, PokerStars is providing a lower $50 buy-in Main Event, known as the No-Limit Hold’em Mini Main Event. This tournament will have a much lower prize pool guarantee of $25,000.

When the series kicks off, the NJCOOP will offer up two events on Day 1. This will include a $100 No Limit Hold’em Event and is titled the NJCOOP Warm-up. This event has a guaranteed prize pool of $25,000. Just shortly after this event begins, a $50 No Limit Hold’em Event will take place, with 8-Max, Turbo, Progressive KO format. This tournament offers $12,500 in guaranteed prize money.

Aside from the Main Event, there are three events that offer the largest prize pools during the series. On October 11, a $200 No Limit Hold’em event will take place as the Sunday Special SE, offering $40,000 in prize money. On October 13, a $100 No Limit Hold’em event will take place called the Super Tuesday SE, with $40,000 in guaranteed prize money.

There is also a high roller event, which features a $45,000 prize pool and a $1,000 buy-in. This event is a 6-Max format and has the largest prize pool on offer next to the Main Event.

Additional NJCOOP Details

The NJCOOP is of course, limited to players who are located in New Jersey. Buy-ins of the series will range from $20 to $1,000 for the high roller events. Most of the events are no-limit hold’em tournaments but there will also be other options like Pot Limit Omaha, 5-card PLO, no-limit Omaha and more. There are also a variety of formats including 6-Max, 8-Max, PKO and more.

Satellites are already running at PokerStars NJ. Players can take part in these lower buy-in events to access seats to tournaments with higher buy-ins. The online poker room is also offering up special edition Spin & Go’s, which have a buy-in of $3. These tournaments will provide tickets to the Main Event and are on offer day and night.

As a bonus for players, PokerStars is providing a special Second Chance Freeroll option. Players who fall short of earning a payout in an NJCOOP event, the poker room is offering a way to win. Any player who takes part in an NJCOOP tournament and is busted out before the money will earn a ticket to the special freeroll.

Winners of the freerolls will earn tickets to satellites and NJCOOP event entries. The freerolls will run from October 11-25.
