The Stadium Series is the brand-new online poker tournament series created by PokerStars. Details of the Series

Every day during the series, there will be low, medium and high buy-in events. The tournaments take place Monday to Saturday. On Sunday, players have access to double the tournament schedule. During the week, players can compete in Series Heats and Sunday Series Sunday Finals. When you finish high in a heat, you earn a ticket to the following weekend’s Sunday Final.

If you make it to the final table of the Sunday Final, PokerStars will provide a free ticket to the Grand Final. This has a value of $5,200 with the event offering up $5 million in guaranteed prize money. There will be three Grand Finals taking place on the 2nd of August. They will be played in freezeout format.

The Low Grand Final will have a buy-in of just $5.50 and offer $1 million in prize money. The Medium Grand Final will have $2 million in prize money and a $530 buy-in. The High Grand Final is the largest of course and will offer up $5 million in prize money with the $5,200 buy-in.

The Stadium Series kicked off with some massive action. The Heat 01 event had a Low buy-in of $5.50 with $125,000 in guaranteed prize money. On the medium level, it offered $400,000 in prize money with a $55 buy-in. The high end offered $750,000 in prize money and had a buy-in of $530.

Stadium Series Trials

Another aspect of this series is the Trials. Players can take part in the Stadium Series Trials and have a chance to win tickets to the series, with $235,000 in total tournament tickets to be awarded. This is a leaderboard challenge that will run until August. There will be twenty five $5,200 Grand Final Tickets awarded. One hundred $1,050 Stadium Series Fast Track Final tickets will also be distributed.

Players will need to opt in to the leaderboard by selecting the Stadium Series Trials in the Challenges Window of their account. Play in multi-table tournaments to then win a point for every $1 spent in buy-ins. The top twenty five players on the board will earn the Grand Final tickets while the 25th to 125th spots will earn the Fast Track Final tickets.

The Stadium Series is shaping up to be a big event for PokerStars, with a ton of value for players. It would not be surprising to find the series sees a ton of increased prize pools and record numbers of players compete in various events, blasting the guaranteed prize pools to even higher amounts!
