Sami Kelopuro Dominates GGPoker Sunday Events

This past weekend, poker player Sami Kelopuro was competing in high stakes events at GGPoker. He decided to compete in quite a few events and ended up winning a total of three in one day. This is an amazing feat and something that has already been highly regarded by other players. Kelopuro was on a roll and was able to gain notoriety and a nice bankroll thanks to the wins!

Amazing Feat

The first title came when Kelopuro won the High Roller Blade Bounty King PLO event. This tournament had just 21 players competing. Only three players would earn a payout, so it was important to hold on as long as possible to earn a prize.

In the end, Isaac Haxton would finish in third, earning just under $13,000. Kelopuro would take on Adam Hendrix in heads-up play and after earning the win, would go home with $30,832. Hendrix would receive $22,574 for his second-place finish.

The second win came during the High Rollers Blade event. This tournament had a buy-in of $2,625 and 33 players paid up to compete. Kelopuro would find himself at the final table again, and by the time only two remained, he was up against Yuri Dzivielevski. In the end, Kelopuro was victorious yet again, taking down the first-place prize of $27,047.

You would think by this time, Kelopuro’s winning streak would be over, but nope. He competed in the High Rollers Sunday Blade Closer, hoping for one more win. In this event, he paid the $5,250 and competed against another smaller field of players.

Winning this event would give Kelopuro the biggest prize of the day. After defeating David Peters in heads-up play, Kelopuro took home just under $55,000. In total, Kelopuro was able to secure around $112,000 for just one day’s poker play! A pretty amazing feat considering he took on several players in various events in several formats.
