Who Is Scoopjackson9 on the Winning Poker Network?

Scoopjackson9 on WPNThe identity of “scoopjackson9” remains a mystery following his/her victories in the Independence Day Sunday Special and $50K High Rollers last Sunday.

Last Sunday on the Winning Poker Network (WPN) was supposed to be all about the massive $240,000 guaranteed “Independence Day” Sunday Special – an event that the network has been building up to for weeks and that smashed its guarantee by more than $70,000.

However, instead of focusing on the event´s tremendous success, the headlines have been dominated by an as yet unidentified player – “scoopjackson9” – who not only took down the weekend´s feature event for $58,392, but also the network´s $20,000 guaranteed High Rollers event at the same time for a further $7,670.

Does Anybody Really Know the Identity of Scoopjackson9?

Attempts to identify the player have so far drawn a blank, with various Internet searches revealing only that he (or she) is based in Costa Rica, that they started playing on the Winning Poker Network in 2014, and also have a history of successes on the international Party Poker site.

The Costa Rica connection has led to other Costa Rica-based players being approached on Twitter for clues to the identity of the player. New Jersey-based player Joshua Rivera did send out a tweet last night claiming to know who “scoopjackson9” is, but has failed (to date) to share this information.

Other social media searches have also drawn a blank, while the question of “Who is Scoopjackson9” now has its own thread on the 2+2 poker forum. There has been plenty of speculation about the player´s identity, but those named as possible suspects have each denied that it is them.

A Good Sunday for the Winning Poker Network as Well

Sunday was also a very good day for the Winning Poker Network. The Independence Day Sunday Special drew a massive entry of 1,553 players, who either ponied up the $215.00 buy-in or qualified through one of the numerous satellite channels. The total prize pool of $310,600 crushed the guarantee and was shared between the top 216 players.

The interest in the tournament created inflated prize pools in other events being played at the same time. The High Rollers event won by “scoopjackson9” exceeded its $20,000 guarantee by almost 50%, while many of the lower buy-in events also benefited – some more than doubling their guaranteed prize pools.

The enhanced level of action on the site also rolled over into yesterday´s 4th July holiday. All of the Big 10 tournaments and Turbo 10 tournaments exceeded their guarantees, while the network´s Micro Monday schedule saw more entries than usual.

Another Big Event on its Way

With the Independence Day Sunday Special now out of the way, players at [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/americas-cardroom/”]Americas Cardroom[/geolink] and [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/black-chip-poker/”]Black Chip Poker[/geolink] can expect the announcement of another big event in the near future. USAFriendlyPokerSites.com has learned that a “Bigger Online Super Series” (B.O.S.S.) is being planned for August and that the series will feature another $1 million guaranteed Million Dollar Sunday event.

The exact date of the series is not yet known. However, the Winning Poker Network will not be able to delay the news of the series for very long if it is to enjoy the same level of success as seen this past weekend – or surpass the record-breaking Million Dollar Sunday played last April, in which 2,118 entries contributed towards a prize pool of $1,059,000!

After this weekend´s performance you can expect “scoopjackson9” to be up for a million dollar event. He or she already has a Million Dollar Sunday final table appearance in their history – finishing eighth in the event played in April 2015. Maybe by August we will have found out “Who is Scoopjackson9 on the Winning Poker Network?”
