Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Releases Summer Poker Series Details

Anybody want to go to Florida? Starting on June 9, the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa casino will be hosting is summer series and it is packed with poker action. Thousands of players are expected to visit the casino and take part in the big events, especially the special World Poker Tour option on the schedule. The series will run from June 9 to 22 and includes gaming options for every player.

Details of the Series

The first event on the schedule is the Double Stack No-Limit Hold’em tournament. This event has a single re-entry per flight and offers a $1 million prize pool. The buy-in for this tournament is $500. On the same day, players can take part in a No-Limit Hold’em event with a buy-in half that size of the first event, at $250.

On June 10, Omaha fans will have an 8 or Better option to compete in with a $400 buy-in. The Omaha option is perfect for players who prefer this format over Hold’em. New action then pauses until June 13 with a $400 No-Limit Hold’em Freeze-Out option. There is also a higher No-Limit Hold’em option that same day, with a $1,100 buy-in.

The schedule covers a nice variety of variants and includes special events as well. On June 14, players can access a Seniors event, open to players fifty years of age or older. There is re-entry offered at this event.

There are also deep stacks, H.O.R.S.E., Omaha, and Survivor options. The full schedule is out now, so if you are planning a trip to Florida, you can easily figure out which events you wish to compete in while visiting.

World Poker Tour Event

One of the biggest events on the schedule is the World Poker Tour Tampa Championship. This event starts on June 18 and the final table will take place on June 22. The event has a large buy-in of $3,500 and will include a minimum of $2 million in guaranteed prize money. If the turnout is large, like a recent Florida event, then we could see the prize pool money grow to a much larger number.

The tournament offers a reentry and players who are knocked out during day 1A can try again on Day 1B. Day 2 starts on June 20 and will play down to the final table on June 21. The final table will consist of only six players who will compete to see who claims the first-place finish.

Players who choose to compete in many of the Summer Series events can choose to book with the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa for their accommodations. The casino is offering rooms on and off-site, making it easy for players to have close accommodations when taking part in the series.

It will be interesting to see how many players turn up for the big events in Tampa. The state of Florida has been coming out for poker events in larger than expected numbers, so it would not be surprising to see many of the upcoming events surpass their guaranteed prize pool totals.
