Tuesday is Tax Day Freeroll Day at Intertops Poker
Intertops Poker is “celebrating” Tax Day in the United States by hosting a freeroll tournament on Tuesday and putting up $1,000 in prize money. Everybody with an Intertops Poker account is invited to play – whether you are a US tax payer or not – and, in order to enter, you will have to find a four-part password.
Traditionally, “Tax Day” in the United States – the last day for submitting personal tax returns to the IRS – falls on April 15. However, when Tax Day falls on a Saturday or Sunday, citizens are allowed to delay the submission of their tax returns until the following Tuesday, which is why Tax Day 2018 falls on April 17.
To mark the occasion, Intertops Poker is hosting a special freeroll tournament with a $1,000 prize pool. The tournament takes place on Tuesday evening and, in order to enter the tournament, you will have to find a four-part password that is being distributed across the site´s social media accounts and in its newsletter (the part that appears in the newsletter is also available from Customer Services).
About the Tax Day Freeroll
The Tax Day Freeroll gets underway at 9:10pm (EDT) and has just 40 minutes (5 levels of late registration). Players start with 5,000 chips and a gently increasing blind structure, so that players leaving it until the late minute to enter will still have 25 Big Blinds to play with. There is no opportunity to re-enter if you get knocked out, and no opportunities to purchase re-buys or add-ons.
#1 US Gambling Site For 2020
- Accept Players From Every US State
- Credit Card, Debit & Crypto Deposits
- $3,000 New Player Welcome Bonus
- Online Casino, Sportsbook & Poker
The tournament is password-protected and, rather than having a single password, Intertops Poker has decided to break the password into four parts. Three of the four parts have been published on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and the fourth part is published in its email newsletter. As mentioned above, you can also get the fourth part of the password by contacting Customer Services.
The Tax Day Freeroll promises to be a popular event, and entry is limited to 600 players. Therefore, if you have not yet found the four-part password, you had better getting hunting! One important point to note is there is a play-through requirement before you are able to withdraw your winnings from this tournament – 50% of whatever you win must be turned over in gross rake before you will be allowed to request a withdrawal. Good luck, and remember to declare your winnings on next year´s tax return.
Watch Out for this Promotion (if it runs again)
Back in March, Intertops Poker ran a promotion offering a [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/intertops-poker-launches-vegas-milli-maker-2018-promotion/”]package to the WSOP Millionaire Maker event[/geolink] in June as a prize. The promotion was not that well supported, but nonetheless Intertops Poker chose to run it again earlier this month. The Final of the promotion was held last night, when Randy “coddfish7” Codd found the right cards at the right time to win the $4,500 prize.
Incredibly just seventeen players qualified for the Final or bought in directly, and even after the buy-ins and add-ons were taken into account, there was an incredible amount of value in this promotion – especially as it could be the gateway for Randy Codd to win more than a million dollars in the WSOP Millionaire Maker event if he finds the right cards at the right time again.
There is still time for Intertops Poker to run this promotion again in May before the target event takes place. Possibly it will be third time lucky for the site, and the promotion will attract enough players for it to be profitable. However, the likelihood is the promotion will only be profitable for the player who wins the next package by taking advantage of undersubscribed qualifiers and a lack of competition.
Fancy Your Chances at Intertops Poker?
If you fancy winning a package to the WSOP in Las Vegas this summer, now would be the perfect time to join the site in order to take advantage of the Tax Day Freeroll. Details for creating an account can be found [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/intertops-poker/”]in my review[/geolink], along with details of the site´s first deposit bonus and rewards program. We cannot guarantee Intertops Poker will run the Milli Maker promotion again, but a share of the $1,000 up for grabs on Tuesday evening would be a great way to start your Intertops experience.
