WPN Winning Millions Won by “ForTheNguen”
The Winning Poker Network (WPN) concluded its Online Super Series Rematch IV with the running of the $1 million guaranteed Winning Millions.
That massive tournament with $200,000 guaranteed to the winner went off without a hitch yesterday with ‘ForTheNguen‘ taking home the title. ‘ForTheNguen’ outlasted 1,799 total entries that included re-entries, creating a prize pool of $899,500.
An overlay of $100,500 was made up for by WPN, the U.S.-friendly poker network that saw its first attempt to host the Winning Millions in December get taken down by DDoS attacks. Undeterred, WPN tightened its ship and reran the event on February 22.
No such attacks were evident yesterday, as players had only to worry about the attacks at pots made by their tablemates. ‘EduardoGarla’ was one such attacking player, as he finished runner-up for a $111,000 prize.

‘GoMegatron’ ($73,000), ‘Chizzle’ ($58,000) and ‘HurziPurzi888’ ($44,800) rounded out the top five, grabbing more money than the other final tablists. The 6-9 places and respective prize money were taken down by ‘Michael Bolton’ ($31,800), ‘GoatBoat’ ($22,800), ‘Sngwonder’ ($17,500) and ’44ontheflo’ ($13,200).
A total of 261 players finished in the money, with $800 landing in the accounts of the last of those players who managed to avoid the bubble. The buy-in was $540.
As many are aware, the $1 million prize pool was the first available to U.S. players since before Black Friday. It certainly won’t be the last, with the next Winning Millions set for April.
In the meantime, WPN, led by Americas Cardroom and Black Chip Poker, is hosting mid-stakes “The Cage” matches every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The $525 buy-in gets a seat for four hours of heart-pounding cash game action where players turn their remaining chips into cash when the time clock reaches 00:00.
A huge 50 packages to the WSOP Main Event worth $12,500 are also up for grabs at WPN from now until June. Online qualifiers are running every Sunday evening, with tons of satellites hosted daily.
U.S. players who have never played at WPN can avail themselves of a 100% up to $1,000 Welcome Bonus at Black Chip or Americas Cardroom. Loyal players have until the end of February to enjoy a $1,000 Reload Bonus.
Get ready for the next Winning Millions in two months. Players who take advantage of the deposit or reload bonuses can use that money to buy-in, so it’s equivalent to a free entry!
