PokerGO Tour Off to Fast Start

Online poker continues to be extremely popular, but it hasn’t totally replaced live poker tournaments that take place in the United States. The PokerGO Tour is one of the popular events that takes place every single year, and things have gotten off to a fast start in 2024.

The PokerGO Tour Kickoff Series just recently wrapped up, and it was once again held at the PokerGO Studio at the ARIA Resort & Casino. There were dozens of players that took home some prize money from these events, but three of the top players really cleaned up.

David Coleman was the biggest winner on the PokerGO Tour Kickoff Series, but a couple of other players had a successful day as well. Here is a quick recap of some of the top action from the first big event of 2024.

No Stopping Coleman

Not only has David Coleman been performing well on the PokerGO Tour Kickoff Series, but he has been cleaning up in other events as well. Coleman has already won three times to begin 2024, and he sits atop the PGT standings after this event.

His first win actually came at the Venetian as he was able to come away with a win on the Card Player Poker Tour, and that brought him over $115,000. Not only was that a great way to kickoff the year for Coleman, but it was also his first ever win at a live poker event.

That momentum carried over into the first event on the PokerGO Tour Kickoff series as he was able to come away with a win against 88 other players. That win netted him over $120,000, and immediately made him one of the names to watch on this tour.

There were a couple of other close calls for Coleman in the series, but it looked as if he would have to settle for just one win. That didn’t end up being the case though as he was once again back on top in the fourth event of the series.

The PokerGO Tour standings go throughout the year, but Coleman has put himself in a position to advance to the final few tournaments, and big money can be won.

Plenty of Competition

There are live poker tournaments taking place all of the time in Las Vegas, but the top action to begin 2024 has been on the PokerGO Tour. Dylan Weisman and Justin Young are two other players that have gotten their 2024 seasons off to a great start.

Weisman was the second winner on the PGT in 2024 as he was able to win the $5,300 No-Limit Hold-Em event, and he got past Coleman in doing so. He is a player that has had a ton of success at live events, but this was his 6th-biggest win of all-time.

The third event had a different winner, and it was another player that has had success in these types of events in the past. Justin Young had the most impressive and dramatic win of the day, as he won by knocking out two opponents on the final hand, including Coleman.
