Scorpions To Reside In Las Vegas In July

Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino officially announced that the legendary rock band Scorpions will have a Vegas residency in July 2020. One of the most influential rock bands of all time will return to the Strip once more and do a couple of shows at Zappos Theater, which is a part of Planet Hollywood.

The residency, dubbed “Sin City Nights,” will officially start on July 4, when the band will have its first concert at Zappos. It will not work alone that night. In fact, Scorpions will share the stage with a special guest, Queensrÿche.

Klaus Meine shared his excitement about the Las Vegas residency in July, announcing a total of nine shows at Planet Hollywood. He added that the band was looking forward to “some wild Sin City Nights” with its fans.

Tickets for these events will be available starting Jan. 24 at 10 am PST. However, members of the Scorpions Rock Zone fan club have exclusive access to a pre-sale that officially started Friday.

The official credit card brand representing Scorpions, Citi, will also allow cardmembers to have early access to the sale. They will be able to buy tickets starting Jan. 20 at 10 am PST. This exclusive pre-sale is time-limited and will end on Jan. 23 at 10 pm PST.

Finally, all members of the Caesars Rewards program and Caesars Entertainment loyalty program, as well as customers at Live Nation and Ticketmaster will have access to a pre-sale. It will start on Jan. 22 at 10 am PST and end on Jan. 23 at 10 pm PST.

When Will Scorpions Perform?

As announced, the residency will begin in July, and the opening concert will take place on July 4. The band really spread its performances to cover the entire month, with two- to four-day breaks in between.

There will be a total of nine performances, and the second one will be on July 8. The following dates are on July 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, and 25. On July 25, the band will have a goodbye concert and end its residency at the Entertainment Capital of the World.

Scorpions has more than 110 million records sold all over the globe and is one of the most important rock bands in the history of this genre. Some of its singles such as “Rock You Like a Hurricane” and “Winds of Change” topped the charts for a very long time.

The band was founded back in Germany in 1965 in the city of Hannover. Back in the day, Germany was split to East and West Germany, and Scorpions were located in the West.

It joined the first metal wave in the country during the 1970s, releasing Lonesome Crow, its first-ever album in 1972.

To this date, the band has released numerous albums and has been filling arenas everywhere it goes. Kalus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Paweł Mąciwoda, and Mikkey Dee are the current members of Scorpions who will make sure that their fans in Las Vegas get what they expect and even more.

The warm-up band, Queensrÿche, is a heavy metal act from the US, formed in 1980. It recorded a total of 15 studio albums and numerous other releases, selling more than 20 million copies worldwide.

Those who are into prog metal, power metal, and heavy metal are definitely going to enjoy this act, which will make a great introduction to Scorpions’ show.
