Sightline and Resorts World Promote Cashless Gaming in Las Vegas

Sightline Payments and Resorts World Las Vegas recently declared the introduction of second-generation cashless gaming technology. The casino resorts released a statement on Tuesday stating that Sightline's updates increase functionality and boost the multi-channel consumer journey.

Resorts World Las Vegas is the first gaming site that has launched new cashless functionalities. Besides, it is the first casino in Nevada to allow players to register, verify and top up from various countries in several minutes.

The functionalities include one "digital wallet" user experience, biometric authentication, remote identity verification, the enrollment of payments, and loyalty. Nevada players couldn't apply to use cashless gaming in their account before verifying their identity. So, one of the resort's workers had to manually review their ID.

More About the Cashless Gaming Technology

Omer Sattar, Sightline Payments Co-CEO, stated that they applaud the resort for its forward-thinking and striving to improve user experience. It will play a key role in growing the local gaming industry.

The groundbreaking technology develops itself as the second generation increases the accessibility of cashless gaming and offers players a better overall experience. Sattar is eager to partner with Resorts World Las Vegas on other generations.

The resort claims that Sightline's petition helped it use its remote identity verification after petitioning the Nevada Gaming Commission to mend the state's gaming laws. It resumed operations in June 2021 after the Coronavirus closure and was one of the first gaming operators to allow clients to pay onsite through mobile phones.

They could deposit money in their accounts to play table games and slot machines. Still, they could buy items at retail shops. Sightline and Resorts World's partnership is linked to the Gaming Laboratories International independent testing and Nevada Gaming Control Board's Technology Division.

Resorts World Integrates the Technology in its Mobile+ App

Players can access Sightline's technology on the Resorts World Las Vegas Mobile+ application. It has a cashless wallet with biometrics for heightened security.

The new technology doesn't need gamblers to undergo a two-step process to pay cashless and top up their digital wallets. It greatly improves user experience by permitting gamblers to use a single wallet to wager.

Resorts World Las Vegas' SVP Casino Operators stated that they knew the Play+ and Mobile+ technology would be interactive as they would need to make frequent improvements and enhancements for guests.

The collaboration has reduced the time and effort required to attract players who will join the Gentin Rewards. Also, they will enjoy cashless gaming when they visit Resorts World Las Vegas.

More Operators Are Likely to Provide Cashless Payments

Las Vegas has spearheaded the revolution of cashless gaming in the country several times. International Game Technology (IGT) partnered with Station Casinos to introduce cashless gaming in the state's six casinos.

Chris Justice, Global Payments Inc president, told Bryan Horwath from Las Vegas Sun that he predicts 90 percent of the country's casinos will offer a cashless payment solution on their floor. He added that gambling regulators and casino operators can obtain and use data from different cashless options to understand problem betting better.
