William Hill Sports Betting App Debuts in Iowa

Ever since it entered the US market back in 2012, William Hill has grown into one of the leading sportsbooks in North America. Although the betting giant is not readily available in all the states, William Hill has been consistent in its efforts in ensuring that it extends its reach. On 1st January 2021, William Hill launched both its mobile application and betting website in the Hawkeye State. Available throughout the entire state of Iowa, bettors can now successfully access the plethora of services and promotions offered by William Hill.

App Features

For quite a long time, William Hill has offered players different bet types and markets including live or in-play bets. The newly launched Iowa mobile application gives players access to all these markets and bet types. Also, just like it is the case in all the other states, the new application lays more emphasis on user experience, flexibility, and usability. The registration process is not only secure but is also streamlined to ensure that players can complete the onboarding process as quickly as possible.

Furthermore, players in Iowa can easily fund their accounts or make withdrawals using several ways including online banking e-checks, approved debit cards, Pay Near Me, PayPal, or with the William Hill Prepaid Play Card. In addition to these payment methods, players can also cash-in their winnings at any of William Hill’s retail outlets throughout the country. Within the state of Iowa, William Hill currently operates 6 retail outlets including the Lakeside Hotel, Horseshoe Council Bluff, Prairie Meadows, Isle Casino, and Harrah’s Council Bluff.

With this new development, William Hill is now operational in 8 states including Indiana, Colorado, Nevada, New Jersey, Washington D.C, West Virginia, and Illinois. Prior to launching the betting app and website in Iowa, William Hill has been operational in the state through its two retail locations. The sporting facilities were located at two different Caesars properties within the Council Bluffs, with one featuring 4 self-service counters and 5 ticket windows while the other featuring 2 self-service counters.

To place their wagers, Iowa residents had to either visit these retail locations or download the mobile application and then complete the registration process in-person. However, with the new mobile application, everything appears to have smoothened out for Iowa residents. Apart from Iowa, William Hill also recently launched its betting application in the state of Washington. Players in Washington will also get to enjoy similar benefits as those in Iowa and other states. Over the past few years, William Hill has been on an aggressive expansion campaign throughout the world.

William Hill’s Continued Expansion

In December 2020, William Hill acquired Alfabet S.A.S in a bid to expand its reach into the Latin market. The betting giant also extended its reach in the Baltics after launching a new service, Mr. Green in Latvia, to increase its market share in the country. Previously, William Hill operated its flagship Latvian brand, 11.lv. With the new acquisition, William Hill hopes to not only double up its market share but to also interject the lessons learned from its first acquisition into Mr. Green and other products.
