WSOP Site Horseshoe Las Vegas Renovates and Opens Its Poker Room

Reports claim that Bally's will soon be renamed Horseshoe Casino. It is the World Series of Poker's (WSOP) hope, and it launched a renovated poker room on Monday morning at the Las Vegas Strip.

The Hall of Fame Poker Room has 19 tables and was open in a temporary site near Bally's entrance during the renovation period. The room is often packed, especially when holding $200 high-hand promotions in 20-minute intervals between noon and midnight.

More Details About the Poker Room's Grand Opening

Caesars Entertainment owns Bally's. The gaming property has been a favorite site for many players because of its affordable daily tournaments and low-stake cash games. Still, this won't change after its recent rebranding.

Horseshoe Las Vegas will be renovated soon. It provides six tournaments daily that start in three-hour intervals from 9:00 a.m. Each of them costs $75 to sign up.

The poker room will offer cash games, most of which are low-stakes. Bally's has a linked property, Paris Las Vegas, and it became WSOP's new home in 2022, 17 years after the poker operator set up a gaming site at the Rio. It is another property that Caesars owns outside the Vegas Strip.

WSOP had a successful maiden summer, as many players ranked it as a better upgrade than the Rio. The Main Event had 8,600 entrants hence being the most prestigious poker event globally and the second biggest field in the WSOP's 53-year history.

The newly renovated poker room will have amazing installments in a few months, like a wall of bronze Poker Hall of Fame plaques resembling Binion's old display and a WSOP bracelet display. Binion's is the WSOP's first home.

Jesse Fullen, a social media manager, visited Bally's to air the first hand dealt in the new poker room. He discussed the new room and the operator's plans with the Director of Casino Operations.

Several local players arrived on Monday at 9:00 a.m. to play $1/$3 no-limit hold'em, Bally's most popular game. Still, several $2/$3 NLH tables and $3/$6 limit hold'em ran concurrently. Also, there were lists for games and other stakes, such as pot-limit Omaha (PLO).

The Whole Casino's Renovation

The new poker room isn't Bally's only section that will be renovated. The 2023 WSOP will occur in June, and regular players are expecting the whole gaming area and hotel to undergo renovation. Including the convention center space that hosts the WSOP tournaments.

Caesars Entertainment made its first announcement about its casino's rebranding in January 2022. The renovation will give the gaming property a unique Horseshoe appearance with dramatic colors, tooled leather, and gold Horseshoe iconography.

Bally's Las Vegas launched as the MGM Grand in 1973. But it experienced one of the worst high-rise fires in the country in 1980 that killed 85 people. The incident made it close for almost a year before Bally Manufacturing bought it in 1986 and renamed it Bally's property.

The casino reopened in 1993 on the Las Vegas Strip's south end. MGM Resorts International currently operates it, and it is Caesars Entertainment's biggest competitor.
