Wynn Las Vegas is the latest company to announce a major poker series, and it is one that is going to have the attention of poker players from around the world. The 2024 Wynn Millions Poker Series is set to begin on February 19th, and the action will wrap up on March 24.
This poker series will have a number of ways to enter and satellites are going to be the major focus in the early part of the festival. Everything will culminate with the $3,500 buy-in at the Wynn Millions Champions as three million dollars is guaranteed in prize money.
There are some big names when it comes to poker in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Wynn continues to be near the top of the list. This is an annual event put on by Wynn, but poker players were waiting for the big announcement.
Wynn Las Vegas will be flooded with the top poker players in the world throughout the festival, with the biggest names expected at the Millions Champions main event. Michael Rossitto is the defending champion of the main event, and Tony Sinishtaj won the event back in 2022.
Plenty of Games Available
Starting on Monday, February 19th, there will be at least two poker events taking place each day throughout the festival. No Limit Hold’em is going to be one style of play featured daily, but it’s not the only way to get in on the action.
Just by checking out the different events in the first few days of the festival, you will see that a number of different styles of poker will be offered. On February 19th there is a Turbo style game, and HORSE is offered on Tuesday, February 20th.
Wynn has a complete list of games available on its website, and that is where the buy-in information is going to be found as well. Prize money is going to increase over time, with some of the early tournaments having a very small cash pool.
March is when the action is really going to start to heat up as there are as many as five different tournaments taking place some days. Some of the satellite winners will also earn the right to enter some of the bigger in-person events.
Some of the Highlights
Poker players all tend to have their own personal preferences when it comes to the style of game that they enjoy, but Wynn Las Vegas has highlighted some specific events. There are two tournaments taking place early on in the festival that come with $500,000 in guaranteed prize money.
One of the big tournaments will be a $1,100 buy-in tournament that is played as No-Limit Hold’em. Another of the early events with a massive prize pool is a $2,200 No Limit Hold’em 6-Max event.
Back again is the popular Mystery Bounty event, and that is expected to attract plenty of players. That tournament will have a $1,600 buy-in, but there will also be prizes guaranteed of $1.5 million.
