Clearwater River Casino and Lodge

The Clearwater River Casino and Lodge is located at 17500 Nez Perce Road right off Highway 12 just four miles east of Lewiston, Idaho. Owned and operated by the Nez Perce Native American tribe, this casino and lodge sits on the banks of the Clearwater River.

This is not the casino you’d expect to find in the middle of the Vegas strip. However, this is the type of casino you’d expect to find in the middle of Idaho.

That’s not a knock on Clearwater as they run a fine establishment, and they make the most of their Big Sky and somewhat remote location.

Clearwater River Casino

The Clearwater River Casino and Lodge comes as advertised. However, this is a casino in a state with few gambling options and plenty of gambling regulations.

Due to these state-sanctioned restrictions, you won’t find any traditional casino games at Clearwater, only video games. No roulette, craps, or cards of any kind are allowed.

That said, they do pack their 30,000-square-foot gaming floor with more than 600 games, where denominations range from a penny to $5 coins.

Reel and video slots, progressives, video blackjack, and keno are among their most popular offerings. They are constantly turning over their machines to always bring in the newest and most popular updates.

Bingo is also offered during the week and offers their Super Coverall Multi-Win game.

Clearwater River Promotions

Casino Promotions are a big part of Clearwater’s game plan, and they deliver practically every day of the week. Drawings, 2x or 3x point bonuses on selected games, and straight-up cash are frequent prizes and promotions.

The Clearwater may be limited in the games they are allowed to offer, but not in the promotions and giveaways they consistently produce. Seriously, it’s every day, and you can even refer to their website to find out what is in store during your next visit.

Clearwater River Hotel

Again, the Clearwater River Casino and Lodge is nothing like a Vegas resort, nor are they trying to be. That said, the hotel makes for a very comfortable stay with over 50 non-smoking rooms and two suites with jacuzzis.

They have an indoor pool complete with a hot tub, a full-service restaurant and cafe, and a quaint gift shop for souvenirs. They also offer guest packages with casino credits, dining coupons, or even tickets to their entertainment venue.

It’s these little extras that bring value to a stay at any hotel, and Clearwater is no different.

Clearwater River Restaurants

The Clearwater River Casino and Lodge offers three dining options with operating hours from breakfast to dinner. There is the always-convenient Yawwinma Cafe serving breakfast and lunch.

The fully stocked Stadium Sports Bar is packed with plenty of lounge seating and more. Plus, Qeqiit Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with buffets and many popular entrees.

Entertainment at Clearwater River

The Clearwater River Event Center hosts everything from national touring acts to weddings. Perfect for corporate retreats as well, this versatile space is converted to fit the event. Be sure to check out the website for a calendar full of events.

Stadium Sports Bar at Clearwater River Casino and Lodge is a full-service bar serving a great selection of draft beer and spirits. It features stadium seating, where you can watch the big games on 30 feet of HD on a video wall with 10 60-inch TVs and surround sound.

Stadium also offers billiards, darts, beer pong, Cornhole, Foosball, and a bar eats menu.

Overall Review

Overall, the Clearwater River Casino and Lodge is a fine establishment with plenty to offer guests on long weekend getaways, cross-country trips, or even corporate retreats.

This is not the Vegas strip, this is Idaho, and they have no need for all the flash. The Clearwater can’t offer as much as other casinos can, but they do a great job of offering all they can.

They pack the casino floor with every popular game going, they pack the Stadium Sports Bar with darts tournaments and big game action, and they pack their calendar with promotions every day.

The Clearwater River Casino and Lodge is packed with plenty to offer.
