The hotel has 288 rooms with several different room options, and valet service is available at the hotel as well. The hotel runs a shuttle to many different locations in Chicago, and there is a fitness center at the location as well.
The hotel portion of the complex is on land but still located on the Indiana Harbor.

Even though the casino and sportsbook bring in the majority of guests, the terrific dining and drink options at Ameristar attract some business as well. There are six different dining/drink options on-site, and all of them feature different menu items.
The Heritage Buffet is a traditional casino style buffet that specializes in offering an all-you-can-eat breakfast. The buffet offers crab legs and prime rib throughout the day as well.
The Stadium Sports Bar and Grill is located near the sportsbook, and it is a great place to watch the biggest sporting events. There are over 30 different big-screen TVs in the Stadium, and it provides a typical sports bar atmosphere.
Bugatti’s Steak and Pasta is a high-end restaurant that is popular with locals as well as casino guests. The other three options are Club 38, Burger Bar, and Noodle Bar.

One unique feature of Ameristar Casino Hotel is its dedication to hosting weddings and receptions. Ameristar features a team of wedding professionals, and they are a popular wedding and reception destination in the Chicagoland area.
The conference space can be split into two separate rooms, making it a perfect space to host a wedding and then the reception in another space. The excellent dining options at Ameristar can be used as a catering service for an event as well.
Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago Sportsbook
The state of Indiana launched sports betting in September 2019, and Ameristar was quick to jump at the chance to offer sports betting. The sportsbook area is located inside of the Pavilion, and it is close to the Stadium Sports Bar.
There are five sports wagering terminals inside of the sportsbook, and there are 12 sports betting kiosks located on the property. Ameristar offers sports betting on all of the top professional sports in the United States, and betting on collegiate events is allowed as well.
Ameristar has yet to offer prop betting, but that is set to come soon. There are several betting options that are available, including parlays and future bets.
