MGM National Harbor
The end of 2016 was an exciting time for the National Harbor area. On Dec. 8, MGM opened its doors after nearly two and a half years of construction and a cost of about $1.4 billion.
This one million square foot facility overlooks the Potomac River in Prince George’s County. The casino side has an elegant feel to it, with beautiful crystals hanging down from the ceiling and with top-notch appeal.
MGM National Harbor Offerings
This casino and hotel have a great selection of offerings for their guests. Since 2016, not a lot has changed to the actual hotel or casino cosmetically, except maybe the service from the employees as they have had plenty of time perfecting their customer service.
In addition to the beautiful 308-room hotel and a gaming floor that is bigger than the White House, there is plenty more where that came from. These offerings include a 3,000 seat theater, various dining options, 11 retail shops, spa and salon, different nightlife bars and clubs, and a very rewarding member experience.

MGM National Harbor Entertainment
Having a prestigious 3,000-seat theater makes the options seem endless when it comes to entertainment. You can check their calendar for upcoming events as shows. These include live shows, concerts, stand up, and can even be converted into a boxing arena.
MGM National Harbor in Maryland is definitely one to see. It feels as if they have a great balance in hotel and casino, and not try to throw the casino in your face to attract customers. They have multiple varieties of entertainment to keep you occupied instead of the casino.
The local area seems to be pleased to have the casino there too. Locals enjoy that it runs 24/7, and experience a nightlife scene whereas most places shut down earlier. They can also step into one of the finer dining options for a night out or grab a quick bite.
However, if the casino is what you are there for, then they have you covered. The number of slots and table game variations will keep you busy for days on end. From dining options to the hotel and the large gaming floor, you cannot go wrong with spending your time here.
