2021 NFL Odds: Chiefs, Buccaneers Projected to Win Most Games

The 2021 NFL season is still several months away, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to think about how each team will perform.

BetOnline just released win totals for each of the 32 NFL teams for the upcoming season. The sportsbook has also released odds for the OVER/UNDER on each total as well. As it stands, Bovada is projecting the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to have the most wins in the 2021 NFL season, setting their totals at 12.5 and 12 respectively.

Both teams have already been talking about as two of the favorites to win Super Bowl 56.

The Chiefs have won at least 12 games in four of their last five seasons, meaning 13 or more this season isn’t too absurd. Plus, that could be easier with a new 17-game schedule.

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers haven’t won 12 or more regular-season games since 2003. However, they’re coming off of a Super Bowl victory and have more momentum than any other team.

Texans Projected to Be Worst NFL Team

BetOnline is projecting that the Houston Texans will be the worst team in the 2021 NFL season at 4.5 wins. Of course, there are several reasons behind this. For starters, the Texans were one of the worst teams in 2020, finishing at the bottom of the AFC South with a 4-12-0 record. Secondly, nobody knows what’s going to happen with QB Deshaun Watson and his sexual assault allegations. If Watson is forced to miss time, that would be a disaster for the team as he’s clearly their best player.

2021 NFL Odds: How Many Wins Will the Washington Football Team Have?

The Washington Football Team was one of the bigger surprises in the 2020 NFL season. Despite going below .500 with a 7-9-0 record, the team finished first in the NFC East before losing to the Buccaneers in the Wild Card round. Still, it was a decent showing and now BetOnline thinks the WFT has a shot at making the playoffs by projecting them to have 8.5 wins. If they’re successful, it’ll be the first time since 2016 that they’ve had a winning record.

Packers, Bills Projected to Have 10+ Wins

Both the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills came within a win of making the Super Bowl last season. Now, BetOnline is projecting them to have success in 2021.

The Packers are projected to win 10.5 games in the 2021 NFL season, which shouldn’t be that hard for a team that’s won 13 in back-to-back seasons. When Aaron Rodgers, one of next season’s MVP favorites, is your quarterback, large win totals are easy to come by.

BetOnline has also set the Bills’ win total to 10.5, favoring them to surpass it at -130 odds. The Bills have only gone beyond that total once in the last 20 years and that was last season. However, they’re one of the best teams in the AFC and, if they can replicate last season’s success, there’s no reason why that can’t hit that many wins.
