Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia Ready to Hire in Pennsylvania

The Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia is set to open early next year. As the construction on the facility continues, officials are ready to start the hiring process. With so many people unemployed due to the coronavirus pandemic, a job fair this week is sure to see a solid turnout. The casino is hosting a job fair today at Xfinity Live! with around 300 full and part time positions open.

Adding to the Team

Along with the live job fair, the operator is hosting two virtual job information sessions. Live! is working with Philadelphia Works and PA CareerLink Philadelphia to host the events. On Thursday, November 12, from 10 am until 1 pm, the first session will take place. The second is that same day from 6 to 7 pm.

Anyone interested in the sessions can register at the Eventbrite website. The in-person event is open to anyone and no registration is required. Admission to this event is limited, as the operator wants to be sure that social distancing occurs. Any applicant attending the job fair will need to wear a mask and will have their temperature taken.

Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia Vice President of Human Resources, Bill Mikus, commented that the casino is recruiting a diverse and inclusive workforce. The goal is to serve as an economic engine for the city. So far, the application process has run smoothly and there are many positions left to fill. Mikus pointed out that the job fair is the perfect opportunity for interested individuals to meet the recruiting team and learn more about the jobs available.

Open Positions

The casino offers a Live! Recruitment Center which is open Monday to Friday. Onsite, recruiters are available to help with online applications as well as answer questions about positions that are available. The site has a host of computers so anyone interested in looking for a job can do so. The facility accepts walk-ins but also has appointments on offer.

Several positions are available right now including bartenders, food servers, bussers, cocktail servers, line and prep cooks as well as bar porters, among other positions. Any employee considered for a cocktail server or bartender position must be 21 years of age or older.

Additional employment options are also on offer. There are hotel positions available along with human resources and marketing. Facilities, gaming operations, information technologies, security and surveillance are also included.

Full and part time positions are open in all departments. The casino has pointed out that potential employees do not have to have a background in gaming to apply. They are looking for people who are willing to learn as well as have unique skills and a natural style.

The Philadelphia casino will be the second mini casino to open by the operator next year. Later on this month, the Live! casino in Pittsburgh will open, marking the first mini casino launch. The operator launched a new online casino app in August and now look to get started in the retail sector.
