NASCAR, IMG Arena Creating Sports Betting Partnership

NASCAR and IMG Arena announced this week that they had partnered together to create and implement many new sports betting initiatives. IMG Arena will be creating a virtual sports betting game that will put customers at the site of some of the most iconic tracks in the sport.

The Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, and Watkins Glen International will be featured as a part of this game along with several other tracks. Leap Gaming will be the actual company that is creating the sports betting game, and it will be offered to sports betting operators around the world.

IMG Arena has developed into one of the leaders in the world of virtual sports betting products, and adding NASCAR is a huge addition. IMG Arena already has tennis, football, cycling, and other various forms of racing on its platform.

In addition to the creation of a new virtual NASCAR racing game, this partnership will also give international sportsbooks the chance to stream live NASCAR races for the first time. All of the remaining 2020 NASCAR events will be available to international customers through this deal announced this week.

NASCAR has been making some major moves in the sports betting industry of late, including naming an official sports betting operator earlier this year. Penn National Gaming entered into a partnership with NASCAR, and they instantly provided new experiences to racing fans.

Penn National Gaming launched a free-to-play mobile game called “NASCAR Finish Line.” the competition was free to enter, but users were eligible to win a $25,000 jackpot with each race.

IMG Arena is headquartered in London, and they provide services to sportsbooks all around the world. They offer the fast and most accurate sources of data as well, allowing sportsbooks that use their service to provide up-to-the-second stats and information.

Sportsbooks See Plenty of NASCAR Interest

Last week was the first time that NASCAR resumed its live racing schedule, and it was a huge weekend for sportsbooks. The main UFC event brought in the most betting action, but golf and NASCAR were right behind.

Sportsbooks, including FanDuel, noted that betting on the Real Heroes 400 at Darlington Speedway brought in almost as many bets as a typical Daytona 500 race. With very few other sporting events to choose from, bettors were excited to get in on the action that NASCAR provided.

NASCAR has been running races throughout the week at Darlington Raceway, but the action will shift to Charlotte this weekend. NASCAR is expected to bring in plenty of action at the sportsbooks until other live sporting events begin to take place.
