The Parx Casino recently announced they have teamed up with the Philadelphia Union, a state soccer club and their stadium in a new sports betting deal.
Encouraging Online Betting
With the new partnership, the Parx Casino will be working with the club and the Talen Energy Stadium, home of the team. With the deal, fans of the soccer team will be encouraged to use the sports betting app of the Parx Casino to place wagers while attending soccer games away from the sports book.
The casino is located in Bucks County, around 37 miles from the stadium in Chester. As part of the deal, Parx will be presenting half time shows for Union broadcasts which will include prizes as well as perks from the venue. Employees will be on hand as well to help fans learn how to place sports bets on the new app.
New Sportsbook and App
Parx Casino has been quite busy getting ready for their sports betting operations. The company revealed their enhanced sportsbook earlier this month, which was part of a $10 million expansion project. They also launched their online sports betting app earlier this month along with an online casino.
With the online app, the brand wants to show players how to take advantage of mobile wagering. Street teams have been created by Parx to go out and show soccer fans how to download the app and claim a first deposit offer. They also can show players how to place a wager if they are first timers.
As part of the partnership, Parx and Union are also offer giveaways. Fans who download the app can now win prizes including a trip for our to an away game of Union against the Red Bulls of New York. Parx Casino chief marketing officer Marc Oppenheimer stated that the company is excited to partner with the Philadelphia Union and the fastest growing professional sport in the US.
This is just one of many examples of sports teams finding casino partners and working together to benefit from sports betting. As the industry continues to grow in the US, it is expected that such partnerships will become more commonplace.
