Scientific Games and Caesars Entertainment Expand Online Gaming Partnership

As online gambling continues to grow in the United States, online gaming companies and land-based casinos are extended their partnerships to move forward into new areas as well as offer new products. One of the latest partnership extensions can be seen between Scientific Games and Caesars Entertainment. The two have extended their deal in the digital sports realm as well as online casino gaming.

The New Deal:

The extended partnership for the two companies includes the OpenSports and OpenGaming product suites of Scientific Games. Both are quality solutions used within the gambling industry on a global scale. The options have been integrated within several operators to improve the overall customer experience.

The deal comes at a time when Caesars announced they will begin offering mobile betting in the state of Pennsylvania as well as Indiana. The company has big plans to expand their sports betting sector in these two states. They are also going to offer an online casino site in Pennsylvania.

Scientific Games is working in conjunction with the teams of Caesars to deliver digital casino and sports betting content to players of the brand across several states. Jordan Levin, Group CEO, Digital for Scientific Games, stated that the scalable technology of Scientific Games combined with the United States player centric experience will help Caesars to offer an exceptional experience across betting and digital gaming platforms.

Long Running Partnership

Back in the summer of 2018, Caesars and Scientific Games became partners. This was soon after the United States Supreme Court ruled a federal ban on sports betting to be invalid. The ruling allowed individual states to begin to legalize and offer sports betting.

In the beginning, the two worked together in Mississippi and New Jersey. Caesars has several properties in these two states. These states were also among the first to legalize sports betting after the court ruling. Since that time, the two companies have worked together to expand in the sports betting and online casino sectors in other states.

The latest launch took place in Pennsylvania. In 2019, the brand opened The Book at Harrah’s in Philadelphia. Even more recent, Caesars went live with a new online sports book and casino in the state. Pennsylvania is one of the fastest growing online gambling markets in the nation.

As more states begin to offer online casino gaming and sports betting, we should see Caesars and Scientific Games expand to these areas. Other states are considering legislation and we expect even more may begin the process as this year has been quite difficult when it comes to generating casino revenues.

With the coronavirus being a major concern, casinos in the US had to shut down back in March. Venues are just now reopening with many still shut down. This means hundreds of millions lost in revenues. With online gaming, states like New Jersey and Pennsylvania have been able to maintain some form of revenues via the gaming industry. Other states are likely to consider the same so that they can still see money coming in if something like this were to occur in the future.
