Tipico Bring Sportsbook App to New Jersey

Global sportsbook company Tipico has launched new sports betting app in New Jersey.

Residents in the Garden State can download Tipico’s new app on mobile devices and access markets for both U.S and international sporting events.

An in-house team is operating the odds and betting lines and the company used its own technology to develop the app. Swiss sports betting data supplier Sportradar is also providing data to power the mobile app.

Tipico in New Jersey

Tipico received permission from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) in September 2020 to provide sports betting services within the state and a soft launch of the app was rolled out in October.

As part of Tipico’s major marketing campaign for the recent launch in New Jersey, the company has offered new players a range of welcome bonuses and promotions, the most lucrative of which includes a $100 cash match offer for a $25 bet.

The company has also funded a widespread advertising campaign, in partnership with the Öpinionated agency, which helped to promote Tipico across the U.S by highlighting the high level of customer service the operator provides.

The Malta-based sports betting company set up U.S headquarters in Hoboken, New Jersey, last year and employed leading figures in sportsbook development, digital marketing, and online-engineering.

The move was key to the company’s long-term aims to establish itself as a leading provider for sports betting in the U.S.

Tipico is also working towards launching a new iGaming platform in New Jersey with Scientific Games OpenGaming branch set to power the iGaming tool while game development company NetEnt will create an online slot, video and table games for the company.

Speaking after the launch of the new sports betting app, Adrian Vella, managing director of U.S business at Tipico, outlined the quality of the new app for users in New Jersey. But he also expressed how the launch was just the beginning for Tipico in the U.S.

“Tipico is a betting experience unlike any other and we are confident that as we expand our reach in the U.S, users will love the new features we are regularly adding to the app. This is just the start, but we are proud to call New Jersey our home and it’s been great to see the positive response from sports bettors across the state.”

Tipico’s Expansion

The launch of the new sports betting app in New Jersey is part of Tipico’s long-term development plan to expand within the U.S and the company is now looking to launch the app in more states.

In October 2020, the global sportsbook company entered a 10-year partnership with NASDAQ traded Century Casinos in Colorado, which will allow Tipico to launch their app to the Centennial State in the future and to expand their growing presence in the U.S.

Century Casinos run numerous bricks and mortar casinos in Colorado and the company has already partnered with global sports betting companies. Tipico will become the third provider in the state alongside Bet 365 and Circa Sports, which have become established sport betting operators in Colorado.
